My biggest disappointment with the game so far:

The song from the launch trailer isn't on any of the radio stations.

I think that Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 might push me over into buying the car pass. Plus that Jag looks pretty sweet.

Took a day off playing yesterday. But got a hankering to play some tonight!

No other racer will compare to FH2 in terms of overall package of visuals, sound, content, customization and online..... for a while. Heck, it'll probably take FH3 coming in 2016 or 2017 to beat out FH2.

First Forza 5 and NFS last year and now FH2. And Project Cars and the Crew coming soon. If you want top notch racers, X1 has 'em!

GOTY anyone? This game is f***ing amazing.
Overall GOTY might be a stretch as racers typically don't win the sole GOTY award.

But GOTY for Racers is a no brainer. I don't see The Crew or Project Cars beating FH2. And DC sure hasn't. As many people saw coming, DC is a so-so arcade racer.

The biggest competition for Racing GOTY is Mario Kart 8. Reviews wise, pretty similar. So it comes down to reviewers preferring FH2's top notch content, gameplay and fun. Or MK8's family friendly arcade style fun where people don't want to think about real cars or tuning.

Sent a bunch of you guys friends requests. We'll do some FH2 sometime, or... gasp.... CoD in November! lol

For those of you with 120,000 CR to spare, check out the Ford RS200 Evolution.

- Group B Monster
- Year 1985
- AWD
- S1 819 rating
- Speed 5.6
- Handling 7.1
- Acc 9.0
- Launch 9.4
- Braking 8.8

The most fun car I've driven so far. It can do everything well.... roads, turns, braking, offroad/dirt. It won't blow you away like a high end sports car, but just solid as a whole. It looks like this image I found, but the design I chose has some blue stripes and says HI3 on it with a small Shell Gas logo at the front headlights.

My GF is playing this right now and loves it. Will play sometime later this month after I am done Achievement hunting in Destiny and finish Aliens.

It may look like a cool car, but unless you have godly driving skills, avoid the Ariel Atom. That car slips and slides every turn like it's always driving on an oil slick!

Ugh, I'm not into buying extra vehicles but I'm sort of a Jeep guy these days. That SRT8 Grand Charokee does look sweet. That, and I used to own a very similar 16V VW Siracco! This pack might make me just get the pass.

I just did the ultimate track toys championship with it and its not too bad once you upgrade it. I fully maxed it out to an "X" class car and even made it AWD. It still slides a little bit but I think with some proper tuning you could get rid of that.

Soon after I got the game I jumped into a few online road trips and they were a lot of fun. The fact that the race courses are so open means its mostly about driver skill and not bumper cars like a lot of other online races. I'm hooked on Destiny but I will be going back to this soonish.

Too many really good games out right now.

I got a title update for Forza Horizon last night, and it wouldn't install. Took hours and hours to even get to 62% (and the update was only 300mb mind you...and I can download the entire game in less than an hour). I let it go over night, and still was stuck. I had tried hard reboots twice, and still no dice.

So I decided to completely uninstall the game and all the game packs that came with it, including the VIP, and then set it to download and install again right before I left for work. UGH.

So does anyone know if my game save should still be there? I saw the game save on the right of the screen (it was 25mb). But when I removed Forza Horizon 2, the VIP pack, Day One Pack, I noticed the game save icon wasn't there. Will it reappear from the cloud?

@ Kvally, that's weird. I hadn't played the game since last week. But I loaded it up just a few minutes ago to join the club and get my daily payouts and the game launched with no issues. I didn't get a title update message but maybe it hasn't rolled out to my territory yet. Eastcoaster over here.

i gotta say its kinda annoying that you lose the car you drove to the event with. by that i mean once the event is over you are left with the car you drove in the event not the one you were free roamin in

since you can only change cars at the horizon festival thats kinda annoying

I know you can change your car at car meets too...the blue "P" square icon.

From what I understand you can change the type of event to suit the vehicle you're driving, haven't tried that yet. It would be cool if we could switch cars on the fly and not have to go to the Festival to switch.

aah you are right! lol forgot about those

but still.. thats another 2 extra loading screens. shame they couldnt just remember the car you drove in and give it back to you once event was done.. a bit like the bucket list stuff

Feedback my friend....maybe we will see that as an option in a title update. They read feedback on Twitter, Facebook and the official Forza forums.

i found the army jeep!! YES!

can sell all other vehicles now

Glad to see some other Jeep fans! I drive one in real life (not a WW2 Jeep)!

Game does have a pretty nice musical selection though.

For anyone (like myself) who is curious of all the possible music tracks:

Absolutely agree. A song from the album I've had as my avatar most of the year is in there, so I'm definitely pretty happy about it. Horizon Pulse and Bass Arena are my two favorite stations by far. I actually like the classical station quite a bit too, believe it or not.

Almost bought it last night as I remember liking it from either the original Horizon or F5. Will get it tonight!

I'm on a "buying cars" spree, as there's an achievement for getting like 175 cars, or something like that. Only in the 80's at the moment.

As I was messaging you last night, my game sorta messed up after the update as well, had to reboot. I was reading on Reddit, and a ton of people were saying they had to reboot their X1's. Not sure if it's Forza related, or something got funky with the most recent X1 update that caused the FH2 update to behave strangely.

I think you should be fine on the game front, as long as your save is still there.

it should re-download from the cloud. I took my ext hdd over to a friends house yesterday, once i logged in and started FH2 from my hdd on his X1,
it immediately downloaded the save file.

I got the update today, but i quit the game before i updated the game, no prb

you can do a "fast travel" - mark the festival icon on the map and pres X - you will be transported in a jiffy

No DLC for Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox 360
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-08-no-dlc-or-forza-rewards-for-forza-horizon-2-on-xbox-360

DLC will not be released for the Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2, developer Turn 10 Studios has announced.

Credits and cars earned through the Forza Rewards scheme will also not be redeemable.

"I've seen a lot of questions from community members about certain features and functionality on the Xbox 360 version of the game," community manager Brian Ekberg wrote in a post on the Forza franchise's official forum.

"To clarify: We are currently planning to release DLC only for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. Also, Forza Rewards benefits are only available in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2. This means that Xbox 360 players will not receive Forza Rewards credits or cars.

"In addition, progress in the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 does not count towards your Forza Rewards Tier Level score. Only progress in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will count towards your overall Forza Score (and Tier Level) in Forza Rewards."

The Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 was released in the UK last week alongside the main Xbox One edition - although this is the first time that Turn 10 has clarified its DLC plans for the former.

Xbox One players get six monthly add-ons via the game's Car Pass, the first of which has just been announced.

Overall there are a number of differences between the game's two versions - as detailed by Digital Foundry in the Forza Horizon 2 face-off. Apart from the graphical changes needed to port the game to Xbox 360, the version for Microsoft's last-gen hardware also lacks many of the online features, including Drivatar integration.

"The overall impression is that Sumo hasn't exactly ported Forza Horizon 2 from Xbox One to the 360, but rather that it has produced its own companion piece that is better suited to the hardware limitations of the older console," Digital Foundry editor Richard Leadbetter wrote.
