PACIFIC RIM 2 baby thank you god or whatever you be leave in.

It's ridiculous that the Cherno Alpha and the Crimson Typhoon were destroyed in a couple minutes. Some decisions made by the characters in the first movies were so illogical. But I still love Pacific Rim. 3D efffects on blu-ray are among the best. It's up there with Avatar. The second one will be produced by Guillermo del Toro.

You guys probably haven't noticed, but there was a movie also released in 2013 called Atlantic Rim, which was a poor copy of Pacific Rim. Made with a budget of $500,000. Average rating on IMDB is 1.7 out of 10. LOL. :laugh:

Seriously. When the f will they finally end the legislative hell Voltron is in, and make a proper movie.

Michael Bay killed the Transformers for me, but Voltron has a better backstory and characters. Give that to Del Toro and let him run with it.

I tried watching it when it was on Netflix(don't know if it is still there). Couldn't get through it haha.

Yeah, I was trying to watch it too. Couldn't get through it either. "It's very, VERY LARGE!" Wow! Oscar-worthy script writing. How dared Pacific Rim rip off this "masterpiece". :grin:
 
Pacific Rim was awesome in the way the Starship Troopers is awesome. Neither won any awards but they are entertaining as heck. Sometimes we have nights like this and can still appreciate Oscar-worthy films on other evenings.

Bring on Rim 2!!! I will go to the theaters cuz it deserves the giant screen.

I thought it was really interesting that while it didn't do too well domestically, it did very well internationally.
The rest of the world seems to like giant fighting robots as much as I do :)
 
good god PR2 looks so bad. WTF is this s*** man? I swear to god if you got so many robots just cause they're in some type of robot combat sport I'll hit a MF. God, it looks so bad. The designs have no detail and just suck.
 
I get the Power Rangers/Gundam Wing vibe from the trailer. The Jeagers are colorful and more agile but feel like they are less massive and weaker than the ones in the first movie. There's way too much quick movements which remind me of Transformers too.
