My PS4's power supply went bad. This is why you don't forcibly cram everything into one small box, Sony. Off to get a replacement hopefully.

I'll take my chance having it combined rather than an eyesore or more clustered crap.

I don't think it's bad in anyway to have the power brick inside, it is a nice feature. I wouldn't exactly hate on it because it failed... it is a little rare for that to be a cause of a system bricking :)

That is a testament for their cooling solution as well as size. Very impressive how much smaller it is compared to the xone with the difference of power bricks. Also think the PS4 uses more power as well doesn't it?

I have to agree with Vik here. The Xbox One has more cords coming out of it than the ISS.
Congrats on owning an Xbox One, but the Xbox One only needs two cables coming out of it, a power cord and an HDMI. And I don't see the relevance the power bricks.

Dude if you don't have kinect plugged in then you are missing approximately 60% of the experience.

I really like the UI/Kinect integration.

I only really noticed all the cords when I moved the X1 to a different room. It was like, "Wow. That's a lot of f'ing cords".

The power supply for the PS4 is small as is the X1. Both can fit in your own pockets so it is not clutter at all, but I guess we all just got our pet peeves.

I got my PS4 back and working. Letting the voltage discharge out of the console's PSU did the trick, and thank God! :D

Well, the power brick on the One could be used to swing and protect your self from a intruder, that is a plus in my book. Savin the console as well.

you can also use it as a paper holder for those days you're writing notes down or doing work while snapping that TV.

apparently ps4 surpassed 6million units sold. Pretty good effort. Now get some games out worth playing and you can can add another one sold to that number .

Very nice. They were aiming for 5 million by the end of March, iirc. So that is well ahead of expectations.

Nice. I'll be getting HBO again when the new season of GoT hits, and I'd like to watch True Detective as well.

I'd buy but WTF are you going to remaster? The PS3 games look fine you're not going to redo the textures. All they I think would do it up the FPS and make it 1080p.

That alone would be f***ing awesome. I'd double dip for an Uncharted @ 1080/60fps.

I haven't seen my Xbox One power brick since the day I hooked it up. I must say though, it sure is nice not ever having to hear my Xbox One fan, unlike my PS4 fan that takes off like a jet. I would take the external supply for a quieter PS4 vs. an internal power supply.

Uncharted PS4 Writer Amy Hennig Leaves Naughty Dog
Writer and Director departs the studio after 10 years.

Amy Hennig, the creative director and writer on the Uncharted series, has left developer Naughty Dog.

Numerous trusted sources close to Naughty Dog have verified Hennig’s departure from the studio. She was writing and leading development of Uncharted PS4. Her final day at the studio was Monday, March 3.

Sources claim Hennig was “forced out” by The Last of Us’ Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, and explained that Uncharted may now come under their control.

Hennig recently celebrated her 10th anniversary with Naughty Dog, where she served as director and writer on Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves , and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Her work was recently profiled in IGN’s The History of Naughty Dog.

We’ve contacted both Sony and Naughty Dog for comment and will keep you up to date with any developments.

Mine and endless others. You wouldn't believe then number of pages of people complaining about how loud the PS4 fan is over on the official Playstation forums. It's probably the most threads regarding a hardware issue I have seen since RROD on the 360.
