I haven't seen any resolve to fix it, but I know others have replaced their under warranty and the new ones were quiet. Some replaced theirs and they sounded the same.
We keep telling you this but something is wrong with your PS4 and you should exchange it for another one. You should not hear your fan like that, no bullsh*t. I literally own 4 (yes four) PS4s and they are all silent. The only thing you should be hearing is your BD drive.

He's either lying or just dragging this on for attention, he knows if it's making a lout noise it's not normal but he'd rather keep bring it up to compare it to how quiet his X1 is.
Just get it replaced instead of whining about it and comparing it to the RRoD fiasco.
Your X1 fan is quieter and doesn't need to spin as fast, because it has an inferior gpu to keep cool compared to your PS4.

I should have said exaggerating I apologize for saying lying. But the fact still remains you continue to complain about a problem instead of having it fixed. If you got a faulty unit it's not like you are stuck with it, at some point it falls on you to take care of the problem.
Plus the box is huge and has a lot of open area with a giant fan so it doesn't have to spin as fast anyway.
That frees her up to create more Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain games. If she goes back to Crystal Dynamics.
Either way she should be highly sought after.
What he meant to say is that he has owned four PS4s and had to return three of them because of the noise levels.
We have a couple homes and I bought one for my parents so I have something to do when we visit. Yeah it's pathetic and I probably over did it, but boy after 7 years I was really excited for something new...
They are all completely silent though, except of course for the BD drive which can sound like a jet engine at times.
Kvally, no bullsh*t man, there is something actually wrong with your unit if you can hear the fan like that.

The way I see it, if Kvally has a noisy unit, then he has a noisy unit. It's anecdotal. But still so is Yoyo's example of his four PS4s being quiet. I honestly don't see it as really mattering. I've never been one to care about the console wars. I hate all consoles equally and indiscriminately in favor of PC. #PCMasterRace
My PS4 is completely silent. My Xbox One is close, sounds like i can hear a fan or something but it's quiet. Far cry from last gen when my 360 sounded like it was going to blow up out of the box.
Yeah mine has been silent as well. Only time when it starts to make good amount of noise is when certain disc based games are played.
I noticed especially with AC:Black Flag the disc drive goes into full force when i start her up. The drive turns so fast that other parts on my table start to shake and make noises (Initially i thought it was the PS4 itself). This is only with the initial boot-up process, though.

Yeah, most of the time I barely hear my fan as well. It's usually the disc drive that's making all the sounds.
K, I don't hear anything from my PS4, not an exaggeration at all. Eve if the tv is on mute I hear nothing.
My PS4 is silent. Online time it makes noise is when I put in games sometimes and it makes this loud spinning noise for like 15 seconds and then stops.

The top two sellers on gamestop.com are PS4 bundles, Infamous and a COD bundle the third is the PS4 camera. It's also the top seller on amazon. A little over a week ago it seemed like gamestop got all of the stores in So Cal some stock but most of them were sold out by mid week and when I say most of them I mean down to 6 stores out of hundreds in the area. .

I think it's more like they know they can get away with it because they are bundling the hardware people want but are having a hard time finding. It's kind of a crappy thing to do IMO but I guess nobody is forcing those people buy it.
Man, it's pretty amazing how the PS4 is still sold out pretty much everywhere after almost 4 months since launch. Sony's been trying to catch up with demand since forever, it seems.
