For me, the list is pretty intriguing.

Witcher
Dark Souls
Fable
Guilty Gear
Elder Scrolls
Minecraft
Half-Life
Deus-Ex

I'm probably forgetting a few big ones too.

I've got a few similar to you:
Dark Souls
Minecraft
Deus-Ex

And a few of my own that I can think of:
Need for Speed
Metal Gear
Mega Man
God of War
Uncharted
Warcraft

Warcraft
Sam and Max
Pokemon (Nintendo games)
Final Fantasy

If you mean never played at all...

Dark Souls
WoW
Everquest and other PC-only titles
Street Fighter and almost all fighting games
Madden and almost all big sports titles

If you mean tried but never completed more than an hour or two...

Legend of Zelda
Mario (except for one Mario Kart)
Gears of War
Gran Turismo
God of War
Final Fantasy
Minecraft

Excluding dabbling with demos for 5 minutes:

- Demons Souls/Dark Souls
- Need for Speed
- Final Fantasy
- Minecraft
- Starcraft
- The Sims
- Warcraft
- Any kind of MMO/MOBA game
- Most key Sony franchises..... excluding God of War, GT, The Show, 989 Sony sports games on PS1/PS2, Twisted Metal
- Metroid
- Any kind of cheesy anime game... Pokemon, Monster Hunter etc...

Witcher (I've got W3, just haven't started)
Dark Souls
God of War
Zelda (console versions)
Super Smash Brothers
Metroid
Never played any MOBA/MMO (Warcraft, Star Citizen, League of Legends, etc)

Nintendo has the most slots for big name games I've missed, I was really counting on NX to help fill those gaps but the leaks aren't very promising for me to want to buy one. Now if they finally discount WiiU I may do that.

Final Fantasy
Dark Souls
Metal Gear Solid
Gran Turismo Racing

Now that I have a ps4 I'm working on my Sony franchises I've never touched.

Witcher (I've got W3, just haven't started)
Dark Souls
God of War
Zelda (console versions)
Super Smash Brothers
Metroid

I played Zelda back in the day on NES/SNES. I thought Adventures of Link was an excellent game. Little did I know that the internet age had old archived scores from magazines and such and it turns out people didn't like that game too much. People preferred the the traditional top down view game.

I found the game much harder than the first Zelda game and the SNES game.

Warcraft or any of those big PC MMO games.

A popular series I did not enjoy at all was Bioshock. I played them all and thought each was meh.

You're right that list intriguing. You missed multiple games that were watershed moments for their respective genres.

-Dark Souls
-Minecraft
-Pokemans
-Almost every online only game ever released.

Silent Hill
Witcher
Grand Turismo
World of Warcraft
Metroid
Tomb Raider (though I own both of the recent reboot titles, and plan to start the first extremely soon)

There are several other huge series I've only played one game of without finishing (Zelda, Final Fantasy), or haven't played since the original NES (Metal Gear).

How have so many not played Dark Souls? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE.

I don't think there are any popular game series I haven't tried. I can name plenty I didn't like though.

Well, I haven't played Minecraft...but is that really a series? each version seems like the same game to me.

RPGs are just not my thing. If I do get into them, I prefer more of a Fallout setting than a sword and shield setting.

Plus, games that have a notoriously difficult single player turn me off. Honestly I'm going to get stuck and go play something else and never finish it.

Plainview, ban this person.

:tounge::grin:

Basically any of the big name RTS's Command and Concuer, Civ etc..

Haven't played most turn based RPG's.

The walking simulators like the Vanishing of Ethen Carter.

Mario and Sonic Olympics games

Dark Souls (have played Demon Souls and Bloodborne though)
Metroid
Mega Man
Pokemon
Ratchet and Clank

Some of the other big games I might have only played one title in the series though.

I never got into RTS.

Only one I played and cleared was Herzog Zwei on Genesis. A very basic and dumb AI RTS. I don't find RTS fun as it seems more like a mad scramble. Don't get me wrong, it takes skill to think and coordinate fast, but I preferred turn based strategy games. The slower paced a game is the better I do.

People, seriously. Metroid is popping up waaayyy to much. I will now blame all of you for why the next Metroid is not mainline game but some weird POS no one wants.

Dota 2. I always see my friends on it. I have it installed, but I'm afraid that I will spend too much time on it. Just crazy how much people play daily.

- Metroid games only come out on Nintendo systems
- Not a lot of Metroid games in 30 years and half of them are handheld and triology games. Spread too thin across years and systems
- Compared to something like 2D Castlevanias, Old Metroid games don't seem as fun or look as good
- Newer 3D Metroid games were more about exploration than shooting
- Hasn't been a new Metroid game in years
- It has a dated look. The art style is stuck in 80s and 90s

That is no excuse. I think after 30 years of Nintendo consoles everyone here should have owned one or two. Super Metroid gets mentioned as often as any game as the best of all time so you people stink.

I was mostly goofing around. I'd thought anyone over 30 would have at least played it on NES if not Super Metroid. I'd imagine that most people that touched a NES at some point played SMB, Punch Out, Zelda and Metroid on it. Well I guess unless you never really played Nintendo systems.

Super Metroid came out in 1994. At that time, my time with Genesis and SNES was fizzling out as PS1 was around the corner.

I don't like anger inducing difficulty in games...

I never found it be anger inducing. If anything, I found the series to be one of the most satisfying I have ever played. And in truth, the difficulty is derived by our affinity to rush in and button mash. If you take your time and actually pay attention to the move sets then they can be a lot easier to defeat than you may think.
