PS4 Pro Discussion

Where's the Fallout 4 Pro patch? I spent over a day re-downloading that game but refuse to boot it up until its Pro enhanced. :txbcool:

That's the Pro patch I'm looking forward to the most, can't wait to see what they're able to do with it!

I was also happy to hear that The Division is getting Pro support in the next patch! May have to do a "re-buy".....

Do you know if I can upload my Fallout 4 save file to the cloud and then transfer it to the Pro? I don't want to have to start over. Actually I don't think I would.

After I downloaded that game I realized that my save file is on my stock PS4. But I need to hook it back up to disable it as my primary console to make the switch over to my Pro. I've never uploaded and transferred a save file on Playstation.

The Division has changed pretty significantly over the last few patches. I haven't been playing it lately but the loot was raining down and enemies were no longer bullet sponges. Some of them can still take quite a few rounds to bring down but really only bosses and heavies and that's about it. I'm really curious to see how it looks after the Pro patch.

I didn't do anything with my saves when I moved from my PS4 to my PS Pro. They were all in the cloud already and it picked up where I left off. Just make sure they are in the cloud.

Yeah, everything should already be in the cloud. You just need to go to "storage mangement", or something like that, in the options and transfer your cloud data over to the new Pro!

Anyone have any impressions on skyrim pro vs original ps4? I have a 4k tv now, but thought it was pretty muddy in 1080p.

You were right, thanks man. I downloaded my Fallout save files and loaded up the game and sure enough all my stuff is there. Now I just wait for the Pro patch and I'll get some of the dlc for some crazy VATS fun. I had no idea the PS4 auto saved and uploaded save files like this, pretty freakn awesome.

Haven't played it since the first week the Pro came out but it looks quite a bit sharper/cleaner than the original PS4 version. The textures are still the same though, Bethesda didn't do anything with those but the game still looks better.

Skyrim looks nice, but I wouldn't buy it just to play it on the Pro. It is still a remastered game and while it looks nice, I wouldn't get it just for the eye candy. Buy Skyrim if you want to play (replay) a great RPG game.

Remember supposedly a Fallout 4 patch is coming too.

It's the game I've played the most on Pro. I'd put in quite a bit of time into the game before the Pro came out on base PS4, there was definitely a noticeable difference immediately with foliage draw distance and detail, but I was surprised how much stuff I kept noticing the more I played. Suddenly I could see dirt or scars on characters faces and skin, different types of material on clothing, etc. I recall just running around Whiterun and Solitude (the two holds I'm most familiar with) and being like, "Holy crap, look at that!" for a week. I'm still seeing things I hadn't noticed before. The remastered version of Skyrim was already a beautiful game, but the Pro version added another level on top of that beauty for me. Love it.

While I'm likely the only person on this forum who'll care, but I just read that Resogun is getting 4K and HDR support for the Pro soon!

That's good news. But that game was already an assault on the senses so adding in 4K and HDR might make my head explode.

I like my shooters, I'll eventually pick that game up. Too bad it's $20 at the moment, I feel like every single game I'm remotely interested in is out of the impulse-buy zone as far as pricing.

Helldivers and Livelock are on my wishlist as well.

Tell me about it. Resogun was already a visual explosion. Sony's out here trying to literally blow people away.

Rise of theTomb Raider must have got one hell of an update since the last time I played it.

Before in 4K, the framerate sucked bad. Now it's pretty damn smooth.

Yeah, but now it has input delay issues again...at least on the OG PS4.

Yeah I just started playing it again and it feels better than it did the last time I played it and runs smoother as well. From what Digital Foundry said it wasn't the framerate that was the problem before it was the frame pacing, either way I'm glad they fixed it.

i want to see that game in 4k mode so bad. but already played/finished it on xbox

Good info JinCa.

Yeah now that I think about it, it was more of a hitch or pause than dropped frames. But it was annoying.

So I am getting a PRO tomorrow, the first time I have owned a SONY machine since 2010, the primary reason, 4K gaming....
What games (coming from a XBOX fan) do I really have to play that I have missed and have the best PRO upgrades. I am buying UC4 and TLOU

As far as exclusives go, in addition to what you're already getting, Infamous Second Son and its add on, First Light are supposed to have good Pro and HDR support, as is Rachet and Clank. I haven't tried any of those yet though! One of my most played indie games ever, Resogun, is supposed to be getting Pro support very soon.

Multiplatform games have been where I've spent the vast majority of my time on the Pro, primarily Skyrim and Battlefield. I can confirm both look great! Based on forums and Digital Foundry, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of Mordor, and Titanfall 2 are supposed to all have good Pro support.

I'll add Deus Ex Mankind Divided. It has full Pro support with stunning HDR and 4K resolution making for a beautiful experience which is sure to pull you into the world.

All those multiplats I have already on the Xbox, looking for 1st Party stuff that I have not played....managed to resurrect my old PSN account today from 2010 :)

I am buying UC4 and UC3 tomorrow from the store and have Infamous with the console as bundled game.....

I got Deus Ex for $20 but I have to get through UC4 first. Finally got a deal on UC4 after waiting and waiting. I think it is the only game that didn't go on sale last month other than console bundles.

Jesus wept......this thing is loud....UC4 looks gorgeous as does Infamous.......well impressed with what I see but not what I am hearing from the fan...

Man... can you imagine Elderscrolls with Dice doing the visuals....

me and my son were talking about them using ID Tech ala Doom and upping the visuals but dropping the fps to 30 or a option on the Pro.

Mine is quiet, I hope there isn't anything wrong with yours.

Gamespot and Gaf have a lot of users that say they have heavy fan noise. This was an issue with the PS4 as well.
