It's next gen hard drives. Instead of 350mb/s SATA, NVMe is minimum of +2000mb/s ssd drive that looks like this and inserts into your slim laptop. I just got some recently. With these things, you are finally freed from so many limitations present in every existing app. You'll be in shock over how limiting current hard drive tech kills performance on so many levels.
Yea Pro console is pretty nice looking. Buttons on system are weird but I've only used the power button once when I first got it. The lack of gloss is yuge, and also like the light on the front.

$100 gets you about 128GB. The diminishing of solid state prices hurdles are what allowed the investments in this technology to happen.

Same here, as much as I love the extra space I've almost filled up my PS4 Pro's HDD, of course I have 19 games loaded on it but I still have a lot of games that I couldn't fit on it plus I want to be able to play Horizon without deleting anything, hopefully 4.50 makes it out soon.
lol at comments. Xbot dumbasses say hold off until Scorpio because Sony has no exclusives, and any titles only on PS4 and PC don't count. So I guess that means unless MS drops their Play Anywhere they will truly have absolutely no exclusives.

I am super psyched to hear that Rocket League is getting Pro mode boost support on Feb 21st. 4K and 60fps for all arenas and game modes!!!

I think I have that from when it was free on PS+. Have only played it on the Xbox but wouldn't mind giving it a whirl again. I play it just about every night. At least the nights I get on to play I will usually close out the evening with a couple matches. Every game I play something epic usually happens. This game is going to have legs that I have no doubt will be still showing up on usage charts 10 years from now.

I've seen a couple of posters in XBD say that nothing on PS4 appeals to them yet. I can't fault them for that anymore than I could fault JinCa for saying the same about Xbox One's exclusives. But I think most recognize that Sony has put together a nice catalogue.
It's understandable to find games that don't appeal to you. To outright claim ALL games on a system don't appeal to you or falsely state it doesn't have any exclusives just because you don't like them I find odd.
I don't think so. I think he likes a few games, but not enough to warrant a purchase.
I am toying with upgrading from my 16 month old Fat PS4 (uncharted trilogy bundle) with a Pro mainly cause I am planning on going to a 4K set when I replace my beloved 39" Sammy LED. BUT I will not be getting said TV till probably end of the year, will the Pro play any different on a older non 4K set or am I just blowing extra $$$?
PS I heard the Pro works very well with Sony VR compared to PS4 non pro, I may be getting VR before said 4K TV so I have that going for me.

The below link is a great resource for what modes / upgrades are available by game. Any game with higher resolutions should offer some level of supersampling on a 1080p set, providing some added detail or better aliasing. In addition ,some games straight up have 1080p modes offering different performance than the 4K mode. In addition, a "Boost" mode was just released yesterday that can offer improved performance in older games that don't have "Pro" support. A large number of games that have been tested in Boost mode are listed in the below link as well.
