Random Gaming News V3

Hey two guys probably said they want it on Xbox on Twitter so all fans "yearn" for it now.
I think Greg Miller and Tim Getty’s were two. I’ve seen and heard from many podcast/media from both teams saying it feels like a game that should/makes-sense to be on Xbox. But yearn for it beyond said coments, nope. Maybe the writer of said article wants it to be a thing, what thing exactly, who knows, your mom?

The game can barely handle the players as it is. I'm sure xbox fans would like it on there as much as PS fans wanted palworld.

I think the devs said it’s something in the game code that’s hampering the play. Like if they were to add more servers that even then it would see the same issues, and that each patch isn’t really a patch more of a new version of said game.

Oh and one thing that’s been noted by players is that it may be an issue with the ps5’s standby mode. If you manage to get in a game, leave it be and come back again for said state you’ll still be connected and in a lobby, essentially keeping the servers full with afk players.

I’d figure It’d be more Nintendo fans wanting Palworld. But who knows, so far every game said developer has made has been Xbox exclusive, maybe they could do a trade with honkai or genshin, since those games are soon gone lose their biggest player base with Chinas new gaming laws

The fantastic Middle Earth games are just £9 on Xbox for anyone who hasn't played them yet.

What does this mean?

They overreached and overestimated on live service games. They have gotten away at the one thing they are good at - sp games and pushed massive live service projects. Them buying Bungie is a perfect example.

Their first one, Helldivers 2, did well. How did they overdue it for Live Service games?

-They probably overpaid for Bungie/Destiny. Not that Destiny 2 is dying, but the player count is plummeting and the long delayed DLC might not fix it.

-Trying to make Naughty Dog do a multiplayer/live service version of Last of Us - they supposedly spend years in development in this

I'm sure there's many more I'm forgetting.

They definitely overpaid for Bungie

Its not like Sony forced the TLOU project on them as it at least happened naturally but it seems like terrible mismanagement for it to go on so long and have nothing to show for it

In a note to staff, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said the company is also "moving away from development of future licensed IP that we do not believe will be successful in our changing industry."

GamesIndustry.biz understands that one such title was cancelled as part of this plan, with the teams working on it redeployed to other projects.

Outside of sports or racing, EA's major external licenses in recent years have included Disney properties like Star Wars and Marvel, which the company has tapped for upcoming games based on Black Panther and Iron Man. (An EA representative confirmed both Black Panther and Iron Man remain in development.)

Wilson explained the rationale for the shift away from licensed IP in his note, saying, "This greater focus allows us to drive creativity, accelerate innovation, and double down on our biggest opportunities — including our owned IP, sports, and massive online communities — to deliver the entertainment players want today and tomorrow."

On the job cuts, Wilson said the publisher "deeply considered every option to try and limit impacts to our teams."

He added that informing people of those impacts is a process that should be "largely completed by early next quarter."

Guy I used to play online with killed my enjoyment of GoW 1s MP by only playing with 1 weapon at a time because he wanted the achievements. Meant that he was often hiding off in a corner trying to get cheap kills and basically making it 3 vs 4 in most matches.

Reminds me of COD for many years and their challenges/gun camo’s. People on your team would go off doing their own thing while your team loses by a lot.
