If this got announced at E3 it would make me feel the equivalent to a woman using a cold hand to cradle my man hangers.

Reports saying it's set before RDR
Well you basically couldn't do a western game and have it take place after Redemption, that was pretty much the end of the cowboy era and lawless west, a point made very much apparent throughout that game actually. I'm just hoping beyond hope that they find a way to implement a bow & arrow in the game, I read at some point on GAF that theres a rumored half native character & rockstar said during GTAV that they enjoyed using multiple protagonists, so if we have 2 or more playables in the new red dead and one is half indian, BOOM reason enough to have a bow, and with dead-eye slow-mo? Oh man, I would be in heaven...

They'll announce it and then it will be delayed until 2018 because of PS4 Neo and Xbox Beast Fire. This gen.

I think alotta that stuff is getting blown outta proportion personally, but we'll see I guess...

They totally should expand the playable cast.

I don't know why, but I feel a cop, a biker, and a construction worker wouldn't feel out of place, next to a cowboy/indian.

What's so great about bows and arrows?
Whats NOT great about a bow & arrow? I just think they're a fun weapon to use. I like that they're a viable stealth weapon, an in-depth stealth element to the RD games could be fun. I don't know why, maybe it's a bit macabre of me, but I always like weapons that impale and stick into an enemy, I just think it's funny...

Plus you can go get your ammo back, you can make fire arrows, etc. Tons of fun.

Yeah man, they're very versatile. Plus, if the game is set in a time & place where theres a justifiable reason to have them, why would you not? Like I said, I love bows as a weapon in games in general, so I like to have them even if theres not a sound logical reason to have them (FarCry 3/4) but in a western set during a time when indians may've still been a relevant thing, and especially if the/a protagonist is of native american descent/ origin? It would make less sense not to have a bow than to have one.

Bows are just awesome, fun weapons to use in shooters I think, and with the dead-eye/ slow-mo effect, would be hilarious I'm sure... Plus I'd be interested to see how well rockstar handles implementing a bow in one of their games. Naughty Dog did it really, really well...

I'm probably going to play Red Dead Redemption again on the PS3 soon to ease the wait. It's been awhile.

Word is it will be announced at the Sony event on Wednesday and is coming to Xbox, PS and PC

Game just became BC on Xbox one.

But then again, a remaster would print money lol.

Lot of people bought the game when it was announced as bc so yeah pretty sure this would sell well.

If true I hope it gets the same visual upgrade (or better) that GTAV got, it would look amazing.

Another game I didn't experience that, if a remaster came out, I would jump all over. Just like the Bioshock games.

Yeah, that or we all just played the crap out of it when it went BC, so another playthrough may not appeal right away...

Yeah I didn't experience Red Dead either. Would like to give it a shot at some point.

Fake going around

This. It's time for a sequel. Now, if they overhaul the visuals and tighten up the controls... Dang it! I don't want to re-buy the game!!

No thanks to the remaster version. I rather they work on a sequel.
In principal that sounds logical.

In reality, money talks. If R* can sell 2 million remasters of Red Dead, they'll do it before launching the sequel a year later.

And they need the money.

For all the gazillion copies of games they sell, most of the time the company still somehow loses money most years. The years they make profit are usually the GTA release years.

I get it. That's just me, personally.
