S.H.I.E.L.D.!

I do not think Coulson is a clone because

May unbutton his suit and he showed us a scar where Loki stabbed him in the movie. Phil is still the same person from the movie.

I'm surprise the show has not explained how he was alive, still. Lol. Still waiting for a solid answer.

Tonight was pretty good. A lot of reference from the Thor: Dark World (although I haven't seen it just yet but will soon).

Yet more teases towards what happened to Coulson. I think we'll be finding out this season, probably the finale.

Doesn't mean a thing. In a universe where aliens frequently come to earth, alien tech is used to wage war on the status quo and super hot smart ass hacker chicks get taken along with a super secret government agency "just cause" I would think that giving a life model decoy a fake scar wouldn't be terribly taxing.

I think Coulson has some kind of healing factor or rebirth ability because he had the wound on his chest and he's really old.
Notice his love of vintage stuff, how he seems to have visited so many places and experienced so many things like a "nice strawberry festival" and how Gemma said at his physical examination "a man of your age".
Maybe he's Captain America era, but gets amnesia.

So maybe his power is he can't die, but he retains no memory of his former "life"

Definitely the series is picking up and getting much better. Really have enjoyed the past three episodes.

I'm enjoying the series more and more and I'm glad Ming-Na Wen's character agent May is getting more screen time.

Hope tonight's good. Looking forward to it.

EDIT: Ugh, they replay the older show. Nothing to see here. Probably will show new next Tuesday. Ah well.

Comic Vine interview time!

COMIC VINE: Let me start out by saying my daughter loves the show.

JEFFREY BELL: My daughter is twelve and she loves the show. As a guy who was working on Sparticus a year and a half ago, it's kind of nice to have a how where your kid and her friend go, "Oh my god, I love that show."

One of the things I love about the Marvel movies is they do that, the kids can love it and hopefully the Marvel fans and the parents of the Marvel fan can all dig it.

CV: How big of a role does J. August Richards (returning as Mike Peterson) play in the next episode?

JB: He's the guest star. I would say it's as big as it was in the pilot. The difference is the place that he's in. Rather than being a down on his luck guy who the world's against, he's a guy who's cleaned up and is working hard. He's trying to prove to our team that sparing him at the end was a great thing. He has a second chance and he's determined to prove they made the right call in doing so.

Tonight was great! I don't know about you but it looks like we'll have our answers answered in '14 about how Phil came back from the dead. Ugh, I have to wait until January 7.

Show is definitely hitting it's stride and getting better and better with each episode! That last episode was really, really good!

Reminder: The new show starts tomorrow night, y'all!! Cannot wait!!

Crap, my TV's satellite just decided to stop working in the middle of the show. I have to wait until tomorrow to watch it on Hulu-Plus. I only saw half of it and thus far, it was pretty good. Very excited to see what will happen to Phil.

Bill Paxton is becoming an Agent of SHIELD. TV Guide reveals the veteran actor, known for everything from Aliens to Big Love, is joining Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD for a multi-episode arc.

He’ll be playing John Garrett, a SHIELD agent from Marvel Comics, best known for his first appearance as a major player in Frank Miller and Bill Sienkiewicz’s classic Elektra: Assassin miniseries. In recent years, Garrett – who was turned into a cyborg in the comics – has popped up in issues of Secret Warriors and Daredevil.

SHIELD executive producer Jed Whedon tells TV Guide, "We wanted to bring in a rough-and-tumble former cohort of Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] with a little bit of attitude and cigar-smoking swagger.”

Nice.

Jaimie Alexander Guest Starring as Lady Sif on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD!!! (OMG!)

Alexander is filming her guest role right now, for the 15th episode of SHIELD's first season. Her guest appearance will mark the first time a non-SHIELD agent character first introduced in the films is showing up on SHIELD (Cobie Smulders, Maximiliano Hernández and Samuel L. Jackson have appeared on the series so far) and she's also the first superpowered character from the films to guest star.

Yes, please!

They said the new show will air next week (Feb 4). I just found out today, though.

Clark Gregg Says Fans Who Gave Up On Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Are Losers

It seems that Clark Gregg has given up on trying to impress fans who have written off Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When asked by The Salt Lake Tribune about complaints from “geekier” fans about there not being enough Marvel heroes in the show, Gregg said “Those aren’t geeks. Those are losers.”

“You start to have people like Deathlok showing up,” Gregg said. “You start to understand that a bunch of these different episodes were connected. A lot of the geeks that I respect most … are very excited about where we’re going. So I’m going to choose to work for them.”

Ouch.

It appears that Stan Lee has actually agreed with the fans that S.H.I.E.L.D. needs to improve something.

In a new interview with IGN Movies, Stan Lee teases his upcoming Tuesday appearance on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which he says is almost more of a supporting role than a cameo. Along the way, though, he answered some questions about whether he agrees with viewers (recently called “losers” by series star Clark Gregg) who say the series needs more of a connection to the Marvel Universe, and specifically more superheroes.

Turns out Lee, who co-created many of the best-known superheroes in the Marvel Universe, as well as the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, does agree with them.

“Well, I guess they felt they had to have some normal people — or seemingly normal people — and certainly Clark is doing a very good job playing the role,” Lee said. “I just feel that we also need more colorful characters to be popping up all the time. I don’t mean that Clark isn’t colorful as an actor, but what I mean is characters who as comic book characters are more colorful.”

I missed the show tonight but will watch it tomorrow on Hulu Plus. Can't wait!

Every episode is better than the one before it. That is all I will say.

Also want to mention something: Agent Ward.

When the show first started I thought he was by far the lamest and least interesting character. Basically, I thought he was a jerk and not likeable. As the show has progressed you get to see more about what drives him - the need to be in control of a situation; the difficulty he has when he can't believe the things he sees with his own eyes; how hard it is for him to deal with situations that he can't physically punch his way out of; and the idea that someone (specifically, May) can be even less emotional and more calculating than he is, at least on the surface.

Ward has turned into a much more interesting character for me, someone I tend to root for now rather than wish he had less screen time. You could say that about a lot of the characters though. They really have done a nice job of developing each of them.

Holy smurfy!!!! I have to say this show is much MUCH better! OMG! This is exactly what I'm talking about. This is almost on par with the Arrow Season II in terms of rich and compelling story. Those people who thought the show is boring, I urge you to look at this currently show! Very good one!

Deathlok is awesome!
