Explaining != defensive. I just thought I'd give you an explanation rather than "The site loads like it loads." But I'll look further into ways to speed it up.
 
Yeah, relative to some other sites, UVGF loads a bit slower but not by a lot. Like Neogaf, a few other sites and the site ace linked was quick, like maximum 1 second load. UVGF usually takes a few good seconds but Plainview answered that both the forum software and database is on the same server? So maybe that's normal.
