So will we ever get a phantom dust sequel?

Not sure about that there was a pretty recent interview about Futatsugi saying he wants to do it again, if not phantom dust direct sequel some other part of the world - to the point he wants to kickstart it if nothing happens. I get there is tons of games with obsessive fans that want a return but I just have a personal vibe that phantom dust is likely scenario in the case of a low budget digital only title and thats all it needs to be - it doesn't need to be shemue bazillion dollar title because it never was that to begin with.


the story did suck though but the battle system was amazing

Well if in the next 12 years MS releases a handheld I'd say the chances would improve.

It doesn't even have to be a direct sequel( especially considering the ending of the original game) it could be a Spiritual Successor or even a reboot. So long as the gameplay is intact.
