Luigi will not be pleased that Sonic and crew are claiming the "Year of" mantle. :txbsmile:

That GameExplain video is pretty detailed. I didn't notice all that from the trailer.

Now I'm really excited for the game. I like the different direction they're taking with it. And it seems like the developers are competent.

I need a freaking Wii U :smash:

I'd get it for my 3DS but the trailer just screams "Buy my for Wii U, I play smooth and gorgeously."
 
Never was a big Sonic fan. Played the original at a friend's house when I was young and I think that was about it. Might pick up Lost World sometime if I need a game to play and I'll keep an eye on this.
 
It's crazy how much attention this franchise receives after how bad the last 48 Sonic games have been.

With that being said, this is still the one true acceptable Sonic design...

New Sonic is all legs and is oddly erect for some reason. The character basically has two positions. He's either running, in which case he's crouched and balanced or he's doing that spin move in which case, he's an oval.

Turning Sonic into Inspector Gadget just reeks of awfulness.

Fat Sonic was OK.

Sega should not get it's inspiration from Manut Bol when redesigning Sonic. The character is all head and all shoes. Accentuating any other part of that alien of a creature is just wrong.

Just want to say, that I hope Sonic Boom doesn't have any humans in it. It's just a strange combination and they always look out of place in the sonic world.
 
I like the new designs I'm seeing. Knuckle's new version took me a while to get used to it because he usually small (similar to Sonic) for many years. But overall, I like it.
 
I'm not sure what to think of this. The design of Knuckles makes sense, but most fans have been used to him being a similar size as Sonic for years.

This looks like a more adventure type game than the traditional platformer we are used to. But, it's not developed by Sonic Team or Dimps so this could work. Maybe.

I don't have a Wii U, but if this game plays awesome, I might pick one up.
