The Dead Rising 3 discussion

Pinned it, but haven't decided to purchase it yet. I was curious to see what others thought. BTW, it's $9.99.

Bought it...Massive patch but the DLC is like 23MB I think...4 player coop last time I checked.

Yeah. 16 gb patch. f***ing Capcom.

Anyway, I bought the new DLC as well. If your around during the week/weekend, let's get some arcade co-op action on.

You sure that's not the old patch? Pretty sure the one I got the other day was much smaller.

Played the new Arcade Remix DLC last night for about 3 hours. It's great. The cell shaded graphics are excellent, and fantastic looking. It never drops a frame at any point that's noticeable anyway. If you liked old coin-op arcade games and like Dead Rising, you'll love it. It's so over the top with the action and voice overs and music, that you'll sit there with a big old smile as you play. I locked Chung Li last night and she kicks ass. All her special moves from Street Fighter are in there. I'm working my way to Ryu at the moment.

I was at my bro's place yesterday and we played this game for pretty much the full afternoon and i had not imagined that this game was so much fun. Wow. I absolutely love the many interiors and they look damn cool too. It also may not be the best looking game on the Xbox One, but it sure as hell is damn impressive how many zombies are on screen and the attention to detail is great. I was impressed with some really cool character reflections on store windows or how zombies start to bump at a car if you are standing on it. If they get too close to glass it breaks and so on. I also love the crazy amount of objects you can simply grab and throw around or combine with others. I was not a huge fan of the previous two, but this one...man i love it. And boy does this developer have a great sense of humor, haha.

Yeah I saw that. I'm really thinking of picking it up.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Had a go on stage 1 which was fun but it definitely feels like it's made for 4 players.

Shinobi was right again. Before E3, he said something along the lines like "Dead Rising 3 fans will enjoy the show". I thought it might mean DR 4, but turns out it was the funny DR 3 spin off. And no lucky guess there by Shinobi, I don't think I saw anywhere anyone predicting a DR game like that.

Just so people know, if you buy the "Season Pass" versionof Dead Rising 3, it does not include that cool new add-on for DR3 announced at E3, the 'Super Ultra 4 player Co-Op Dead Rising' thing. I found that out. I'm so sick of companies doing that. I remember Halo 4 did that too. It's like you think in your head, "Ok, I'll buy the Season Pass, I'll get all the DLC." Nope. r******d. Anyways, no big deal, just letting people know ahead of time. I'm gonna buy the regular version then just buy the arcade add-on thing & save ten bucks since I don't care about the other Season Pass stuff.

I'm pretty sure season pass content is set at that time it is offered. So any out of the blue content that comes up will likely not be included as it goes beyond the scope of the original offer.

It's like buying a season pass to a sports team. You get all the preseason and regular season games. But any special exhibition games that crop up or playoff games are not included, but are separate purchases.

That is bullcrap. I have never bought a season pass and never will because of practices like that.

Just started playing DR3 last week, awesome game, easily the best in the series. The game runs great, no slowdown, tearing, and I think the graphics are awesome. Especially when you get later in the game, there are hundreds of zombies on screen. Definitely a boat load of fun in co-op.

Well the SP has a very clear description of what comes with it and the new DLC was not planned at that time.

Anybody still playing this? Playing Dying Light has made me wanna fire this up again. The game is so much fun co-op.
