I fear they'll water it down and get it passed just like under W. Of course they'll throw the middle class a decent cut right on page 1 and hope they don't read the fine print in the back.

Deficit? Deficits only matter when a Democrat is in office. Have you heard any GOPer mention the D word since Obama was done?

Never underestimate the greed of the GOP or the stupidity of those that blindly follow.

Agree with you mostly but I believe that some republicans are all ready railing against this vague tax reform plan because it will raise the defecit.

They're going to shove it through via reconciliation. Thankfully, they can only make it effective for ten years since it exploderates the deficit even further, but as much as the Republicans shout about Obamacare, sing love songs to the gun lobby, and cry about how much they love them some Jesus, their true Lord and Master is the Almighty Tax Cut, who giveth unto them so greatly.

Very true, there are some good Republicans out there. My big problem with the GOP is how they fall in line. I mean, good on those who fight Trump on healthcare, but that was still far too close.

The problem is now that the bill seems to do nothing for the middle class, it gets shot down, but the minute they throw us a bone, people will suddenly be like "deficit what????" and wait for their insignificant tax cut.

Everyone knows supply side trickle down is bullhonk, but people will go along as long as they get a small piece.

Also the estate tax thing is Trump's big item. Why? This is one of the few issues he's been consistent on since day 1. "Make America Great Again" fits better on a hat than "Make my kids richer".

Sadly most people don't understand that in general the middle class already pays very little taxes, most of what's taken from them they either get back or is going towards their Medicare and social security. I remember back when Bush did his big tax cut I was in my 20's, it saved me a whole extra $10 a pay check lol.

Yep, sadly economics isn't something the average person gets. When Republicans say that corporations are taxed too much and that's why the middle class is shrinking, sure, right? Sounds valid. Never mind that it is total bunk (the economy is booming and the top companies pay very little in taxes).

The US is actually one of the lower taxed of western nations. The group who actually get slammed are the small to mid size business owners. The huge corporations can dodge taxes and move money offshore no problem. The smaller guy can't (and has to compete with the bigger corporation that pays no taxes).

I worked for General Electric for 13 years. They didn't pay any taxes during that time. They were one of the 10 largest companies in the world and paid no taxes due to exploits in the tax code. Let that sink in.

Apple pays no US taxes either. Their products are literally all over and zero taxes.

It is insane, but if you suggest that maybe these companies should pay a little bit of taxes you get labeled a socialist!

Sadly the "Boston" Antifa has been a big fake news false flag the entire time. The real antifa says there isn't even any organized group in Boston. The Boston Antifa has made all sorts of posts that look legit but actually meant to stir up right wingers (note how everyone is now suddenly a woman?). Obviously fake. I can tell you most Bills season ticket holders have been going for decades (except playoff games, we don't really do that kind of thing here) :(
