Iowa (idiots out wandering around) are, well idiots, so no surprise they would vote against their interest. Dubuque is the furthest into this dump I want to go, and sometimes that is even too far.
I hope everyone who voted for him understands that "tariff" = tax on the stuff we buy. Get ready for the price of electronics and just about everything else to skyrocket.
This is weirding me out as I work in Truck Driving and wondering how tariffs will affect transportation jobs.
I wish I could tell you it will be fine. Unfortunately Trump is able to put these tariffs through without congress' approval, so even if some of the GOP grew a pair and tried to stop him there's little they can do.
Sadly, the less informed people who voted for him still think that a tariff on China will impact China and not us.
I'll have to turn on some Fox News and see how they spin this, because I know any normal Republican isn't cool with this.

So, just so I have this straight, Trump says he knows nothing of any settlement money paid to Stormy Daniels, denies having had sex with her, but is still party to litigation attempting to collect money from her for violating a non-disclosure agreement based on that payment and trying to compel arbitration rather than a courtroom trial pursuant to that 'agreement'. So much #winning.

Somebody made an interesting comment about these "russian sanctions." A week ago there was news that Mueller wanted to talk to russian oligarchs. I wonder if these "sanctions" are levied against these same oligarchs and they're prevented from coming into the country now?
This is exactly why Trump is an idiot who can't stand any negative press. Nobody even doubts that he banged a porn star and honestly, who cares? The people that support him will overlook it and the rest of us aren't able to hate him any more than we do now.
If Trump had half a brain he would just ignore this and let it blow over. He can't though because he's an emotionally troubled man-child who can't have anything negative printed about him (even the flat out truth).
It's going to get a lot scarier too. He's his own worse enemy. But when/if Mueller goes for him and his inner circle, the economy is f***ed, or some other crisis plays out, he's going to do something drastic in order to distract from it.
To be fair, unless you are within a few years from retirement, just ride it out. In 2 more years (actually starting this fall with the mid-terms) we're going to fix this mess.
