Wonder if the change in tune on the payment to Stormy is because they figured out Mueller already knows?

#fakenewsApparently, NBC jumped the gun. They had authorization to log calls, but now they're saying that there wasn't an actual wiretap. Completely different thresholds to acquire.
Our health care system is just great. Notice how someone with a potential head injury decides to go somewhere else because they need to find someone their insurance covers.
We're still living with the Hospital Mandates from the Reagan era so hospitals have to treat people. I wonder if that puts them under pressure to recover costs under ''ReaganCare' by over billing people like this.
It's weird to be against single payer, then people just pass laws saying hospitals can't deny people, yet not have funding in place to cover it. I wonder how much this has distorted costs over time.
Guliani should never got involved and now he will look not that he is dumb. That interview on FOX was the biggest mistake by saying it was paid back after Trump just LIED to the people on Air Force One.
If Trump get away on everything that is coming to him we have a much bigger issue in the US. Nation of laws only applies to some people as of right now.
Well, at least Giuliani was clever enough to make sure he made it clear that there was no FEC violation because the payment had nothing to do at all with the election, just a nuisance. Same with Trump. He was smart enough to call Avenatti an ambulance chaser, too. I don't see how that could possibly backfire and... wait for it...
Oh, yeah. So I'm guessing the timeline went something like:
1. Avenatti gets the case, gets the case file from the old lawyer, notices that Cohen's specifically trying to influence the election which is only illegal in the sense that it's illegal.
2. Since he's cooperating with the Mueller probe, he gets that info to the Special Prosecutor.
3. With unassailable proof that Cohen was committing a crime, they get the warrants needed to log his calls, search his emails and eventually raid his offices.
4. Because any communication from Trump regarding this would be in the furtherance of a crime, it's not privileged, and therefore... well, I presume we'll all find out in the fullness of time.
I've been able to convert my mother and father from a life long voting record of republicans. So, there's still hope. Trevor Noah helped with converting my mom too.And I also had a thought while I was driving in to work today... I'm kind of grateful that Trump became President. Not because it's good in any way, but because it's so bad.
Let's keep in mind how much effort the right has been putting in over the past few decades to prepare a very sizable portion of the population to, essentially, be pro-dictator. Just ask a typical Fox viewer/Hannity listener, and they're apoplectic about there being a legal investigation into Russia but think Hillary should already be in jail. They're convinced that the only truthful media is the Fox and Sinclairs of the world, which is essentially private state media, and they're not at all convinced there's a role for independent media. In every single instance, their beliefs are not at all firm - they hate the debt and deficit spending, unless it's the GOP. They hate lies, unless it's the GOP. The list goes on.
So, imagine if the guy who finally decided to try to convert that into a dictatorship was a f***ing Palpatine instead of Darth Jar Jar Trump. We'd be f***ed. He may screw this up so tremendously that we might be able to recover somewhat, although I think we're still screwed in the long run - people are simply too programmed into "team red"/"team blue" at this point and people aren't getting smarter.
If you haven't yet I suggest reading How Democracies Die. Goes into great detail about what has happened in other European and Latin American countries, and how the Republicans have slowly been trying to do the same things here. Democrats aren't innocent but Republicans have overwhelmingly tried to tilt the board to win.And I also had a thought while I was driving in to work today... I'm kind of grateful that Trump became President. Not because it's good in any way, but because it's so bad.

If i put on my tinfoil hat, i'd say Guliani is working with the deep state to remove Trump from presidency.

Aides to Donald Trump, the US president, hired an Israeli private intelligence agency to orchestrate a “dirty ops” campaign against key individuals from the Obama administration who helped negotiate the Iran nuclear deal, the Observercan reveal.
People in the Trump camp contacted private investigators in May last year to “get dirt” on Ben Rhodes, who had been one of Barack Obama’s top national security advisers, and Colin Kahl, deputy assistant to Obama, as part of an elaborate attempt to discredit the deal.
According to incendiary documents seen by the Observer, investigators contracted by the private intelligence agency were told to dig into the personal lives and political careers of Rhodes, a former deputy national security adviser for strategic communications, and Kahl, a national security adviser to the former vice-president Joe Biden. Among other things they were looking at personal relationships, any involvement with Iran-friendly lobbyists, and if they had benefited personally or politically from the peace deal.
