Let's not lose sight of the fact that cohen was the deputy finance chair for the RNC. The chair in charge of the finances for ALL republican candidates at the state and federal level was run by a guy who just plead guilty to and will serve minimum of 50 months in prison for tax evasion and campaign finance violations. You think this starts and ends with trump? This is just the beginning.

This is who the Republican party is. I find it challenging to meet people IRL who supported Trump and can defend him. At some point in the near future, we'll begin to hear idiots who voted for Trump make their case for Pence taking over. Can't forget Pence is wrapped up in the corruption as well. Congress must begin investigating Mike Pence for his lies about Flynn and his involvement with Russia.

Don’t forget Manafort is the one who hand picked him. There is no way he’s not compromised

I am more bothered by the fact that Pence said Flynn was resigning because he lied to him. Then months later we found out the transition team knew Flynn was being investigated for lying to the FBI. Guess who led the transition team....Pence. Pence admitted that he knew of the plans to fire Comey and the memo beforehand. He previously denied any contacts with Russians and Wikileaks, all of which were lies. Then in May, Pence demands the special counsel wrap up their investigation.

He's either complicit or a halfwit whom should not be entrusted with political powers.

Yea Trump getting booted would only be the end of the beginning. Money and curruption in politics will still need to be dealt with.

But Trump got his bailout money from Russia, and the NЯA gets money from Russia, and a lot of GOP Congressweasels have been summoned invited to visit Russia in the past two months, so no collusion.

Hmmm, mysterious $50,000 payment for “tech services” that was paid through multiple steps.

C'mon!! Where's the $50,000 question?? Page 16 of the criminal information filed in Cohen's case yesterday mentioned a reimbursement for "tech services" that Cohen "solicited" on behalf of the campaign. Then, pg. 34 of the Steele Dossier discusses Cohen involvement in making "deniable cash payments to hackers." Now Davis confirms the link to Russian hackers.
Why would the Trump campaign pay anything through the Trump organization, and why would it need to be made surreptitiously through Michael Cohen?? Why on earth is Cohen going around soliciting "tech services" for the campaign?? Since no possible alibi makes any sense, I think we're sitting on a piece of the smoking gun in broad daylight.
EDIT: thanks for the gold kind Redditor, hopefully it helps get this the attention it deserves.
DOUBLE EDIT: It looks like CNBC has now picked this up!! And thanks for the second gold kind Redditor!!
TRIPLE EDIT: Lanny Davis discussed "additional services" on CNN this morning
Here's the specific segment in question. When asked about any services "beyond grossing up," Davis responds that Cohen was indeed paid extra for "additional services" and put on retainer for roughly $60,000 to be available to give Trump "advice." This amount corresponds to the "bonus" identified in the information.
So here's a quick summary of the payout according to page 16 of the information:
  • $130,000 for Stormy Daniels
    • $35 for a wire fee
      • $50,000 which prosecutors specifically say "represented a claimed payment for 'tech services,' which in fact related to work COHEN had solicited from a technology company during and in connection with the campaign."
SUBTOTAL: $180,035
PLUS
TOTAL: $420,000
DIVIDED BY TWELVE: $35,000 monthly payment from Trump org. to Cohen
So Davis acknowledged some sort of "additional services," but appears to attribute this to the "bonus" in what I think is a smart attempt to dodge questions over the "tech services"
QUADRUPLE EDIT: Lanny Davis tells Anderson Cooper he does not know about what the $50,000 payment was for and has not talked to Michael Cohen about it

I may be getting way ahead of myself, but I see 3 dots and they connect quite nicely. The criminal information on Cohen made available by SDNY today and statement's made today by Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis are 2 dots, the dossier is the third:

A. Relevant portion of Steele Dossier:

COMPANY INTELLIGENCE REPORT 2016/166
FURTHER DETAILS OF SECRET DIALOGUE BETWEEN TRUMP CAMPAIGN TEAM, KREMLIN AND ASSOCIATED HACKERS IN PRAGUE
Summary
  • TRUMP's representative COHEN accompanied to Prague in August/September 2016 by 3 colleagues for secret discussions with Kremlin representatives and associated operators/hackers
  • Agenda included how to process deniable cash payments to operatives; contingency plans for covering up operations; and action in event of a CLINTON election victory
  • Some further details of Russian representatives/operatives involved; Romanian hackers employed; and use of Bulgaria as bolt hole to “lie low”
  • Anti-CLINTON hackers and other operatives paid by both TRUMP team and Kremlin, but with ultimate loyalty to Head of PA, and his successor/s
Detail
  1. We reported previously (2016/135 and /136) on secret meeting/s held in Prague, Czech Republic in August 2016 between then Republican presidential candidate Donald TRUMP's representative, Michael COHEN and his interlocutors from the Kremlin working under cover of Russian “NGO” Rossotrudnichestvo.
  2. ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ ████████████████████████████████ provided further details of these meeting/s and associated anti-CLINTON /Democratic Party operations. COHEN had been accompanied to Prague by 3 colleagues and the timing of the visit was either in the last week of August or the first week of September. One of their main Russian interlocutors was Oleg SOLODUKHIN operating under Rossotrudnichestvo cover. According to ███████████████, the agenda comprised questions on how deniable cash payments were to be made to hackers who had worked in Europe under Kremlin direction against the CLINTON campaign and various contingencies for covering up these operations and Moscow's secret liaison with the TRUMP team more generally.
  3. █████████████ reported that over the period March- September 2016 a company ca1led ██████████ and its affiliates had been using botnets and porn traffic to transmit viruses, plant bugs, steal data and conduct “altering operations” against the Democratic Party leadership. Entities linked to one████████████were involved and he and another hacking expert, both recruited under duress by the FSB, ████████████████were significant players in the operation. In Prague, COHEN agreed contingency plans for various scenarios to protect the operation, but in particular what was to be done in the event that Hillary CLINTON won the presidency. It was important in this event that all cash payments owed were made quickly and discreetly and that cyber and other operators were stood down/able to go effectively to ground to cover their traces. (We reported earlier that the involvement of political operatives Paul MANAFORT and Carter PAGE in the secret TRUMP-Kremlin liaison had been exposed in the media in the run-up to Prague and that damage limitation also was discussed by COHEN with the Kremlin representatives).
  4. In terms of practical measures to be taken, it was agreed by the two sides in Prague to stand down various "Romanian hackers" (presumably based in their homeland or neighbouring eastern Europe) and that other operatives should head for a bolt-hole In Plovdiv, Bulgaria where they should “lay low”. On payments, IVANOV’s associate said that the operatives involved had been paid by both TRUMP’s team and the Kremlin, though their orders and ultimate loyalty lay with IVANOV, as Head of the PA and thus ultimately responsible for the operation, and his designated successor/s after he was dismissed by president PUTIN in connection with the anti-CLINTON operation in mid August.
13 December 2016
B. Lanny Davis statement:

“Mr. Cohen has knowledge on certain subjects that should be of interest to the special counsel and is more than happy to tell the special counsel all that he knows... Not just about the obvious possibility of a conspiracy to collude and corrupt the American democracy system in the 2016 election, which the Trump Tower meeting was all about, but also knowledge about the computer crime of hacking and whether or not Mr. Trump knew ahead of time about that crime and even cheered it on.”
C. From Cohen’s criminal information:

(37). In or about January 2017, MICHAEL COHEN, the defendant, in seeking reimbursement for election-related expenses, presented executives of the Company with a copy of a bank statement from the Essential Consultants bank account, which reflected the $130,000 payment COHEN had made to the bank account of Attorney-1 in order to keep Woman-2 silent in advance of the election, plus a $35 wire fee, adding, in handwriting, an additional "$50,000." The $50,000 represented a claimed payment for "tech services, " which in fact related to work COHEN had solicited from a technology company during and in connection with the campaign.
Curious what everyone thinks of this. I had not heard of Cohen paying a tech company in connection with the campaign before, so when I read that in the criminal info I immediately thought of Steele's allegation of payments to Russian hackers. I don't think it's likely Cohen was seeking payment for Parscale's operation, and I've seen no indication that Cohen hired them, and see no need for that payment to be farmed out in the same shady fashion that the illegal campaign contributions to Stormy and McDougal were. So that leaves me thinking the contributions to this tech company were illicit in nature.

Now the State AG of NY is going after the TRUMP foundation of the violations they committed. They are going after Trump kids and it will be under the State Law where TRUMP can't parton his kids.

Now only that, at TRUMP office, they are going after his security team for beating up on one of the protesters' couple years back.

Cohen was also subpoenaed today from the NY State AG on something he did with the king taxi on a joint account which includes tax fraud.

This is going to be a complete shutdown.

It is like the last season of American Horror Story where the cult leader has one or two key people brainwashed everywhere you turn.

Nothing to see here folks

He words are frightening, but it doesn't seem like she's the one who voted not guilty. “Finding Mr. Manafort guilty was hard for me. I wanted him to be innocent. I really wanted him to be innocent, but he wasn’t,” she continued. “That’s the part of a juror. You have to have due diligence, and deliberate, and look at the evidence, and come up with an informed and intelligent decision, which I did.”

I thought she was the only one that wouldn't vote "guilty" on the 10 other counts. Trump is tweeting now that because Manafraud wasn't guilty on only 8 of the 18 counts than that is proof there was no collusion!

Horns and rankandfile both posting within a couple days of each other. Something exciting must have happened.

From what I'm reading, I don't think she's the one. She said herself there was on person who held up 10 charges. It didn't read like she was the one.

Edit: Yes. I suppose I was just assuming it was her the first time I read. I'm sure if she confessed openly that it was her vote that deadlocked the jury then her life would now be a wreck. She did a say that the jury didn't include "many fellow republicans"

Now that they voted to convict Comrade Manafort, none of them are Republicans any more, just 11 ANGRY DEMOCRATS and 1 PART-TIME DEMOCRAT. WITCH HUNT!

"I guess it says something like high crimes and all — I don't know how you can impeach somebody who has done a great job. I will tell you what, if I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash," Trump told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" in an interview that aired Thursday morning. "I think everybody would be very poor because without this thinking, you would see — you would see numbers that you wouldn't believe, in reverse."
