US back in rally mode, lifting S&P, Nasdaq to records

https://www.yahoo.com/news/dollar-ekes-gains-asia-sharp-losses-025648627.html

Wall Street investors were back in rally mode Tuesday, pushing the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to new records and lifting the dollar against the euro on renewed optimism about US President Donald Trump's policies...
Once again, you ignore dialogue. Either start participating in the discussion, or don't contribute to the thread. This has been the umpteenth time you've completely ignored people engaging in a dialogue with you.

I already explained I don't have time to debat

Good luck with that.

1) I'm pretty positive the CPD won't be too happy about federal agents taking over their city.

2) This is beyond hypocritical. Obama was feared for potentially doing this, so I'm wondering if the people who thought this will continue to support a president who does the exact same thing.

3) I'm sick of my city being the whipping boy for gun violence. We aren't even the actual murder capital of the US as some like to put it.
There are seven cities, including Memphis, Detroit, and New Orleans, that have worst murder rates. Yet Chicago is the one threatened with federal invasion. Hell, Chicago isn't even no. 1 in growing rates of homicide. So is Trump going to occupy other cities after Chicago, or is it only a coincidence that the city of our previous president happens to be such a big target?

4) Chicago was literally zerg rushed with protesters during the women's march. He invades Chicago, that's not only gonna be worst, but he's going to incite a riot. Whether he means to or not. The amount of property damage and lawsuits that come out of such a thing would take years to settle and fix. If not decades.

I think in the last thread people laughed at me when I said hat this was going to be an ethical/morality war.

Do people believe me yet?

Its only an excuse to get the thin edge of the wedge for a police state

There's a major difference. Obama was a black liberal mooslim who was coming for their guns, while Trump is an orange non-liberal mooslim hater who's going to cure the gun violence in Chicago by giving everyone more guns. #MAGA : More American Guns? AWESOME!

As much as I despise Trump....I'm not all that against extreme vetting, as long as it's done in a way that doesn't come off bigoted.

Certain parts of the world, are without a doubt, a clusterfvck at the moment, and we don't need to be courting that kind of mess right now, not until we take care of our own mess.

Congressional Republicans are set to overturn a slew of Obama-era regulations next week, including a controversial anti-bribery rule aimed at U.S. resource companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N) and Chevron Corp (CVX.N), according to a top lawmaker.

After six years of legal battles, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in June approved the rule requiring companies to disclose payments to foreign governments. It will probably be killed swiftly with two simple congressional votes.

Other rules eyed for quick overturning by Congress include newly minted environmental, gun control and labor relations measures, sources said.

Earlier this month, McCarthy said the House would try to kill regulations protecting streams and forests from coal mining's impacts, curbing methane leaks on public lands, and requiring employers to report workers' information as part of an attempt to end pay discrimination.

In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece on Wednesday, he also added a rule expanding background checks on gun purchases for disabled Social Security recipients to the hit list, as well as the anti-bribery regulation.

LOL.....all you can do at this point.

Our vetting process is as extreme as it gets. There's nothing more you can do with it except expand it to cover other areas which they will attempt to do.

The lol's continue

Senior Trump administration staffers including Kellyanne Conway, Jared Kushner, Sean Spicer and Steve Bannon have active accounts on a Republican National Committee email system, Newsweek has learned.

The system (rnchq.org) is the same one the George W. Bush administration was accused of using to evade transparency rules after claiming to have “lost” 22 million emails.

Hey Plainview how is sending feds to Chicago like sending marines to Syria?
Because that is the government overstepping their boundaries in order to quell violence that does not need it. Sending in the military, that's what trump means by feds, is how Syria did it to stop uprising. If this buffoon uses it that easily for something that clearly doesn't require military intervention, there's no stopping thus maniac. Chicago has issues, nobody is denying that. Sending in the military isn't the answer. That's this moron's solution to everything, bully and force.

For starters, fighting crime within a state....is a state's issue, not federal. Sending in the feds to fight crime is like setting up marshall law. Is that really what we want? The gestapo coming in and handling state's affairs?
Make people feel like that are being occupied by an outside force and made to look like criminals...guess what happens, they'll behave like criminals. This is one of the reasons what the tough anti crime laws of the 80s....actually resulted in more crime.

Think for a second how people would have reacted if Obama "sent in the feds" into certain cities, how the conservative right would have lost their "state's rights" minds.

Bringing in the feds won't reduce crime, it'll make people feel insecure. What DOES reduce crime, is a reduction in poverty and better education.

You so are actually just putting words in trump's mouth. Trump didn't mean FBI when he said feds. Feds means armed marines. This is why trump has a chance at presidency. Because there is and has been a lot of proof of news organizations twisting his words to create a controversy.
