But when do Trump supporters actually take responsibility for electing Trump? It's like the same people who all got a convenient case of amnesia and forgot that they voted for GW Bush for two terms. I mean people who voted for George don't ever like to mention that they did.

So why are voters naturally absolved for supporting bad Presidents?

That's the brainwashing. Never underestimate the hypocrisy of the deeply religious right.

There are people in my in-laws who wouldn't speak to a son who just lost his mother to cancer at a very young age at the funeral because he's gay. I was disgusted at how so-called "good christians" couldn't even be civil during a funeral while a son had to bury his mother.

That's the kind of cognitive dissonance that is impossible to burn through.

What I'm afraid of with these investigation into collusion with the soviet union, and obstruction of justice, is that there won't be anything definitive that the investigations find and all of his brainwashed supporters will think it vindicates him for all of the s*** that this moronic administration has done in under six months and the campaign before. If these investigations don't fund anything, we're gonna be stuck with the orangeutang for four years. During that time, we can't get complacent and must resist the incompetence every day.

I honestly think we need Trump for 4 years. We need to hit rock bottom. Like a drug addict that has to wake up lying in an alley. In a weird way I was relieved Hillary didn't win. That would have just prolonged the problem.

Enough Republicans finally learned with Bush (only took 8 years) :smash: and they'll learn again. Going to take time though.

Honestly, I wish we'd drop the Russian thing and focus on the actual policy he is using that does nothing he promised. This scandal has been fueled by the media and does nothing but encourage his supporters to dig in. The average Trump voter is not going to understand that you can still obstruct justice and be innocent in the initial investigation.

I agree, but I don't want this c********* and his s*** family having anything to do with this country. They're awful people outside of Melania and Baron. I want him removed from office. I don't want this mother f***er having a library.

I know, it isn't even about politics, he's just a disgusting human being. His latest rants on twitter are both hilarious and super sad at the same time.

This is the world we live in unfortunately.

The problem is it appears there is no bottom for some people. They are limbo experts.

He seriously can't shut up.

Yeah the big problem is that the economy has been recovering, so everyone who voted for him thinks he is responsible (never mind that they ignored the exact same positive data under Obama...). It will really come down to his tax plan. Hopefully some eyes will open when he gives a little break to the middle class, but a huge one to the wealthy.

Can you imagine how tacky that library is going to look? gold plated everything, all the chairs will look like thrones and there will probably be huge paintings of his bloated orange face on some muscular guys body all over the walls. Honestly I don't know why Presidential libraries are a thing anyway, seems like a big expense to build what is basically a monument to someone who may have been awful at their job. The money to pay for them is raised by a non-profit, I wonder if there is any pay to play involved in how those funds are raised?

Veep is covering this this season.

Republicans fought hard to get Obama out of office (even into prison) because they didn't approve of him even though there was not a single bit of evidence out there that he broke the law. But they didn't accomplish s*** except to make him more popular and win him a second term. I'm afraid the same thing will happen with Trump.

Well its not democrats that are investigating Trump though

This is already 10000x more serious that anything that happened to Obama

I know. It's apples to oranges. But I can't shake the feeling that none of this will amount to anything worse than a slap on the hand for Trump. He will continue to eat our democracy alive while the minority of this country that supports him will scream louder than the rest of us.

Trump is losing the support of independent voters that voted for him, without that he can't win. His hardcore supporters will always stick with him but when 4 years is up (if he isn't impeached by then) there will almost surely be enough evidence that he was a failure and should be voted out, I wouldn't be shocked if he had a republican challenger. Plus let's not forget we won't have the 2nd most disliked candidate in history running against him, Hillary won't run again :)

Bad move rolling back Cuban sanctions. It just looks like he wants to freeze his hotel competition until he gets out of office.

Yep it looks like that and that he's being petty and trying to undo anything Obama did.

What was the C word there? The one I can think of is c***scrape.

Edit: nope. Not that one. c***f***er?

Edited it: nope... I'm comming up blank.

No the Trump library should be built, even if it resembles the garish, tasteless monument to himself that JinCA envisions. And I really mean that. The Trump Presidency has to be the nation's teachable moment. If it isn't, we'll repeat it again, and probably with someone far more slicker and a much more sinister agenda.

I know it sounds terrible but the Trump Presidency has to be more than just an embarrassment, it might need to be a bit uncomfortably painful for the nation to be able to fully appreciate why the right to vote is such an important one. That enshrined within that right is great responsibility, not just to our own personal political and social mechanisms, but to each other. That personal politics can often be selfish and destructive when we choose ourselves over what we know is bad for the nation as a whole.

There was so much foolishness in the last general, and it was covered like episodes of Love and Hip Hop. There's a reason why we got the result we did. I want him out just as badly as you, but I also want the nation to remember these days of craziness and instability.

I'm not worried. Honestly I doubt Trump even tries a 2nd term. The only way he won is because the Dems ran a horrible candidate who could reasonably be in jail right now. Unless Hillary does the unthinkable in 2020, there's just no way Trump wins. Trump is already at end of term W Bush numbers (where basically everyone hated him).

The good that comes from this is that the Democrats can throw Trump at whoever runs for the next many years. Trump will wreck the GOP for a decade+.

Well to be fair that is the reason he won but its the ignorance of the statement that is the reason

The worst thing Democrats can do is not take responsibility for this. Hillary was a horrible, horrible, awful candidate for too many reasons to list (not just scandals).

The DNC let Hillary win almost by default. The party told anyone who wanted a future in the Dem party to NOT RUN. Bernie was the only one who ran because he doesn't care about the party (and left right after).

I criticize the right for blindly accepting Trump, and I criticize the left for blindly accepting Hillary. Hillary would be nothing like Trump (probably pretty uninteresting as a President, which is good), but PARTY DOES NOT COME FIRST. America comes first.

Primary elections need to mean something again. The DNC tried to squeeze one by and it cost the country a heavy price.

We can all look down our noses at mouth breathing Trumpers, but we need to remember the DNC primary and why we are here.

I'm commenting purely on the part about her being in jail not whether she was a horrible candidate.

True but it also needs to be built in either Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio or Pennsylvania just to remind them not to go red again lol.

15% is a healthy percentage, even if the kids aren't.

Funny enough I'm in Wilmington, NC, where we also apparently have issues with our water.

It's going on all over the country in all types of communities. They need to drop the focus on flint in the media and talk about it as the broader issue it is to put pressure on the government to do something about it.

I had no idea the president got an actual library. lol.

I went googling, and this was the first thing that I found relating to it.

A twitter Library of Trumps twittersisms. Seems fitting. If he gets an actual library, it'll probably just be filled with his biographies, and 'Art of the Deal.'
