He may be right. Cops should be investigating people completely unrelated to crimes. It's a great use of time and taxpayers money.I love how his so-called denials are quasi admission of guilt. Does he even have a competent lawyer left at this point or just Rudi?
Is he really asking why the investigation isn't talking to people who didn't do anything wrong?
I HATE to stick up for anything involving Trump but the media is really being dishonest in their reporting on what happened yesterday. Every headline points out tear gas being fired at women and children and most headlines I've seen use that same awful picture of a mother with her children running from the gas. They don't seem to point out that it was mostly men charging the guards or that the people were throwing rocks at the guards which prompted the tear gas being used to begin with.
While I agree in part, the use of tear gas is explicitly prohibited to be used against other nations. It’s a chemical weapon. It was used against people in Mexico. It’s a crime. It’s also a crime to use it against women and children.I HATE to stick up for anything involving Trump but the media is really being dishonest in their reporting on what happened yesterday. manafort lied to Mueller after the plea deal. Life in prison.
From emptywheel.net. If true, Mueller and his team are epic mother f***ers.
Now, it is true that Trump can pardon Manafort (though that probably won’t happen right away). That’s the only sane explanation for Manafort doing what he did, that he is still certain he’ll be pardoned. But many of these charges can still be charged in state court.
Just about the only explanation for Manafort’s actions are that — as I suggested — Trump was happy to have Manafort serve as a mole in Mueller’s investigation.
But Mueller’s team appears to have no doubt that Manafort was lying to them. That means they didn’t really need his testimony, at all. It also means they had no need to keep secrets — they could keep giving Manafort the impression that he was pulling a fast one over the prosecutors, all while reporting misleading information to Trump that he could use to fill out his open book test. Which increases the likelihood that Trump just submitted sworn answers to those questions full of lies.
If 45's idea was to have Manafort try and be a mole in the investigation by fake offering himself up that will be the most 80's/90's Leslie Nielson/Police Academy/Austin Powers parody style movie plot. So yea its probably an idea he got from a movie.
Meanwhile there are shots fired in Crimea. Good thing we don't have a President being investigated for colluding with one side.
I told numerous family members who were voting for Trump that he is:
-a compulsive liar
-doesn't have the temperament to handle being President
-a self-involved narcissist
All the signs were there and people went ahead anyway.
If he goes down, every benefit he would be in line to get, security for 20 years, a library, etc., needs to be scrubbed. He gets absolutely nothing.
The Donald J Trump Bigly Picture Book Library of Ineptitude. He isn't entitled to a library (libary as he would say) until he actually reads one entire book.
