The Initiative’s Perfect Dark

Would’ve been some moody colour palette if he was the AD
Wasted opportunity. It's time to bring back the grungy Gears of War color palette. Maybe not to Perfect Dark, but we need more fat men in fat armor displayed in dark grey and dark brown. These colorful GAAS Shooters of today make me want to hurl.

As for the animations, Tomb Raider 2013 is famous for the attempted sexual harassment animation and Lara being impaled on a fallen tree-trunk if you fail the waterslide QTE. So this is an inspired choice. Joanna Dark will likely suffer some horrible fate.

The fallout from this (today's layoffs), been hearing more and more.. been hearing for years that Perfect Dark is in a rough state, sounds like it's in a very rough state"

"And it doesn't sound like it's really come together in any way since then (since the announcement) and like Crystal Dynamics coming on board to come help on that.."

Regarding first person shooter aspect:

"It sounds like they don't even know if that's what they want to do with that"

My guess, games will be shown at the showcase, more than none, less than a hundred, maybe a quarter and a dime

We got someone saying in development hell, someone else saying not that bad of a state. Just need one more to say it's all green light ahead and we should have covered all bases ;)

I was hoping to see this in June. I hate to say my expectations have dropped though, mainly since the rumor of 'development hell' and then hearing next to nothing about it. I've never found that to end up well for any game.
But they seemed to have an 'all star' team working on it, so who knows......maybe they'll surprise us. I think it's a great franchise with a lot of potential, but we'll see.

someone else here said it but it truly blows my mind that you can have unlimited resources at your disposal and we can’t even get one sci fi shooter out the door in good shape without development hell. Was a massive fan of what MS was doing this gen but as it has gone on I’m just constantly second guessing.
