Official Thread The Last of Us Remastered,v. 2.0

How long did the main campaign take you about?

The stats page said 13 hours, 21 minutes. And that's with me taking my time to explore. But one thing I'm not sure about is if the timer restarts when you restart an encounter which I did often. But its not a short game by any stretch.

Good to know...I didn't notice there was a stats page.

do any of the multiplayer modes have zombies in them? or any AI at all? Haven't had time to play this much lately.

The worst was in the very beginning. That had me fighting tears big time. Probably the best video game acting/writing bar none. Better than most movies too.

I just started the game and I am stuck. I am not far , I am with the two girls and we snuck outside the city and are climbing in a sky scraper. I am to section where I drop down and when you turn a corner there is an infected with his back to you. I take him out and to the left there are a few infected and one that is fully turned. What am I supposed to do? I keep getting killed.

i usually try to pick them off one by one if i can, i wait for one to walk into the big room to the left when you drop down. make sure you have shivs as you should be able to at sneak behind the clicker and kill that quick because it will instant kill u if you dont have a shiv or brick available. there is also a melee weapon to the room behind you when you drop down so if u dont have one you can pick that up which will help. sorry if i am not explainning this well i am just going off memory of the area u are in.

Walk up the one with his back to you, strangle him. Take whatever gun you have, quickly kill the fully turned one (the clicker) then run for your life back and forth and use bricks to bash in the heads of the others and shoot them as well.

That's the strong arm way to do it.

Thanks I got past that, I stopped at the part where I am looking for some guy and get caught in a trap that has me hanging upside down. The game is ok so far but I think UC is better so far, this game will have to really get amazing from here on out to make me like it more than UC and too see what all the hype is about.

The section where you are in the subway and are wearing the gas mask was almost enough to make me stop playing the game, I couldnt see crap. Easily one of the worst sections of a game I have played in a long time

The game really picks up around and after bill's town. You're almost there I think.

The subway system section on ps3 wasnt like that, you could clearly see where to go, they changed it for ps4 which was cool because it makes it more believeable with the spores around. Game starts picking up now you are in bills town but its not a game for everyone though. To me personally last of us is way better than any of the uncharted games, i just couldnt get into them like i did last of us but that my opinion anyway.

Hey I don't know what's happening but my friend reqs dissappear after I view them. So if someone here has added me on psn write to me and I'll add you instead.

Edit: or add my bf Elit-mannen

I'm not sure what to do with this game, I love the campaign, but I have no desire to finish it again. Multiplayer is fun but I don't want to revisit it either. I would feel bad about getting rid of it but if its just sitting here theres no point lol.

I'm trying The Last of Us again. I didn't like it the first time, but it gets such praise, I felt like I owed it a second chance.

I'm enjoying it more this time. I am throwing myself into it, rather than holding back. I think that makes a difference. The first time, I was put off by several things, such as the emphasis on stealth, the ugly environments, and the "zombies." This time, I've accepted that that is the game I'm playing, and I'm going with it. I think I'm in a different state of mind this time, too. The last time, I played right after I got out of the hospital, and I wasn't in the mood for a grim tale of survival (having just played one of my own). I'm feeling better now, and so I can get into it more.

That's awesome. Take it in and accept it. It will take you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster.

One of the best games I have ever played in my life. I envy you for playing it for the first time! (Second time technically). Tell us how it is when you're done.

Its a good game. In my opinion, its not "one of the best games ever" as told by critics, but certainly a jewel of the ps3 era.

Yeah, the over-hype for this game was off the charts. Only game I can think of that could rival it was GTA 4's supposed Oscar worthy story.

I played for several hours today. I kept pushing to see what the next section held in store. It was hard to stop playing, but my eyes got tired, and I got hungry.

The voice acting and dialog are outstanding. I like Ellie. Joel is a d*ck, but I get it. I was surprised they
killed off Tess.
That was when I realized, "This ain't your mother's Uncharted."

I like the characters' interactions. They did a good job with that. They look, sound, and feel like real people, more or less.

I'm not a fan of zombie shooters or stealth games, or survival horror type games in general (that's the main reason I stopped playing the first time), but they're doing a good job of keeping the combat fresh, giving you new weapons and enemies all the time. I also like how they make ammo and supplies scarce, which builds tension, forces you to conserve, and makes you think carefully about your approach.

The plot and action is really picking up. It's a good action-adventure game, that's for sure.

I am in tears (cry is a strong word, lol) on that first intro sequence. I have a daughter. I've seen that intro probably five or six times now and it always gets me. It's the only game that has ever done that, let alone repeatedly. Easily one of the most powerful scenes in gaming and is artfully set up.

One of the amazing things about the dialogue in the game is how just as I have a thought about an observation I made, Ellie actually says it out loud. It's friggin' eerie.

I got this free with my PS4 and I still have yet to put significant time into it....
