Official Thread The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Wii U/Switch)

Loving Zelda. What a bloody fantastic game. Only thing is, I am so used to PS4 and XBOX controllers, this is messing me up lol
Keep pressing the wrong buttons for wrong things lol

Pro controller is awesome that's what I use.

Have to get this game, but think will finish some of the games I have first, also think will go for the Wii U version.

Well time for a negative....
Only 4 main labyrinths plus the last one,3 mini ones and 100+ shrines.

Needs more than the 4.
Hopefully the 2 dlc packs have some.

This game is bloody fantastic!!! I love open world RPG's anyways (my fave genre) and this is fast turning out to be one of the best games I have played. So much to see and do and I love the way you can experiment and approach scenarios with different strategies.

I've got to go out and buy a high capacity battery for my Wii U game pad because of this game. I've been playing until the gamepad shuts off which is somewhere in the range of 3-5 hours.

I have no idea how the size of BotW's map compares with other open world games but this one "feels" the most massive. Not sure if it because of the greatness of its vertical expanses that adds layers of explorable surface or if it's how I keep finding new majestic scenes in areas I thought I had already explored.

Then there is the wildlife and the enemies. It is a living breathing world where discovering new animations is just as common as finding new areas to explore.

And speaking of animations...I have to say of all the art styles they have used in past versions what they are using here is by FAR my fav. I really hope they stick with this for a long time.

And how can I ignore the witty conversations and twists to side stories? So many laugh out loud moments that at first I thought was just goofy Japanese/English translations but soon realized is fully intentional.

...and those shrines. Oh those wonderful shrines! I gotta find them all!! That alone could keep mr busy for months. Not only do they have unique and satisfying puzzles, oftentimes there is a puzzle you must complete just to find them!

This game is worth the price of the Switch.

I agree. I got my switch purely just for Zelda and I ain't disappointed. LOVING IT!!

Wow this game keeps on getting better and better. Quick question, any one know is it best to keep stuff like luminous stone, opal, amber etc please?
Think I read somewhere diamond is important but rest not so much. TBH I am not really looking online for answers that much as nice to find out stuff for yourself.
This game constantly surprises me

No Idea but now I feel bad for selling all the diamonds I've found along the way. :(

Yeah I just read after a certain part in the game you can change luminous stones for diamonds and apparently diamonds are used to repair unique weapons or something like that. I didn't wanna look up stuff on the net but didn't wanna get 30 hrs into the game and then suddenly find I needed a certain material I just sold 35 of.
