Just finished the game. I got annoyed with it about 3/4 of the way through. The characters started making decisions and having reactions that didn't make much sense. Then we get the dramatic emotional music, telling us we should be feeling X or Y, when the story and characterization hasn't "earned it," i.e., hasn't done anything to elicit that kind of response. Then we get the small room full of 40 bad guys, all types included, thrown at you just before the final boss fight -- an exercise in frustration. Then the button-press boss fight, lots of pretentious verbiage, and an ending which didn't make a whole lot of sense or feel satisfying.
Rating would be about a 6. I had some fun playing through it. It's not a terrible game by any means, and I think some of the outright dismissals aren't fair. The cover-based shooting is mostly enjoyable (except for that last bit), there are some fun lycan encounters, and you can ogle the graphics. The story and dialog just don't work to create any sense of connection or emotional investment in what's going on though, so after a while, it just feels like a mechanical exercise.
