The Star Wars Episode VII Thread *DO NOT POST ANY SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD*

I don't really get the Jar Jar hate either. He's not awesome, but Yoda's first appearance in the original films and the Ewoks were similar kind of stupid.
I actually think Ep. 1-3 match with 4-6 pretty well and a lot of the grumbling is just nostalgia.

HitFix’s Motion Captured blog is reporting that Star Wars Episode VII will begin shooting in mid-May and will continue shooting through September 2014, and that most principal casting is complete.

If the film completes shooting in September, that will give the post-production team a full year to work on the film before its December 18, 2015 release date.

I'm curious to know who are the rest of the casts for this film. Especially Luke's kids!

I never had problem with Ewoks myself. Yoda on Empire Strikes Back, on the other hand, I still find him annoying on first sight. But he shows his true self and grows on audiences, it's not like Jar Jar who is annoying and stupid from start to finish.

I don't have a problem with the ewoks either. I was just saying that the same kind of silly slapstick characters are pretty typical of the series as a whole.

I dig Jar Jar myself, could never identify with the hatred for him. I actually think Lucas wrote the prequel trilogy much better than given credit for. There was nothing that I felt really clashed with the Star Wars universe. Where as the Ewoks just come across as one of the biggest plot holes in cinema history. Yet that was intended as the grand finale for the original trilogy. At least it gave Warwick Davis a solid start for a decent career.

I would like for a Jar Jar Binks close this one, Darth Jar jar  .
Just thinking about how serious people would have to take him if something like that happen, going from comic relief to badass.

After Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) got slated in the first Star Wars spinoff, the second hitter turns out to be Josh Trank (Chronicle). Holy hell, this already looks thousand times better than Marvel movies. This is so amazing.

Better storyline:

Jar Jar Binks walks into a cantina, owned by Han Solo. Binks stabs Solo's hand with a knife, smashes his other hand with hard glass, Chewbacca attempts to help, but gets shot dead in the process. Jar-Jar looks to Han and says, "Looksie like mesa the one who fired first this time Hannie."

Academy award worthy.
I still have hope.

Hahahah no it actually showed the inside of a cinema, big screen..the Disney logo on it and then the ''In a galaxy far......'' and then...
