Looks damn good. Abrams is going with the right style, not that look from the previous three and not nearly as cheezy.

I know it's fake :) I just wish there was a bit more shown in the real trailer...

I agree with with Abrams style.
 
The one thing that bugs me in the trailer is the shot of the girl on the speeder bike. Her goggles are on top of her head, then she hits the throttle - quick cut to wide shot and the goggles are magically on her face.

Also, Boyega = the new Jar Jar?

Oh and I don't like that lightsaber. The side blades look useless. Then again, it might be a rotating cuff, which would make it awesome. ;p

The sides almost make it look like head vents, like perhaps it's a more rudimentary lightsaber that is less efficient.

Anyone notice the new dish on the Falcon?
 
I hope the cheese will not be strong with this sequel.. prequel or whatever the funk it is.
 
looks awesome.

we're all gonna go see it in the theatre even if it sucks, and we all know it.

so if it's actually as good as it should be, damn!

trailer is very promising in my opinion.
 
I have faith in JJ. Looks good. I was never a Trek fan growing up could not get into it, but I enjoyed Abrams Trek films thought they were fun and entertaining. I just hope this one is a great time to see in theaters and I would be happy.

The cinematography so far looks like poop, along with the set design. It looks bland.
 
My biggest gripe is that the movies were always watered down in comparison to Animation and video games. Jedi and Sith in the movies are shells in comparison to what I've seen in video games and cartoons. The old Clone Wars show from a few years back on Cartoon Network was amazing. That highlighted what can really be done with the Force. I mean for f***s sake, Darth Nihilus destroyed a planet using only the Force...I expect a lot from the new films.

I hope we don't get mediocre action scenes. Star Wars, for me at least, as always have poor fight scenes.
 
Just FWI to anyone complaining about the new lightsaber.
It is the crossguard lightsaber that is actually part of Star Wars canon.

You may not like the design but it is actually very practical. Think of the crossguards on swords from Dark Age Europe.

yeah but if another lightsaber hits the metal part of the guard it would just cut through it anyway.

Yeah no. Maybe Current George Lucas. But Abrams hasn't directed anything close to American Graffiti, Thx 1138, or First Star wars and Indiana Jones. The only person that can possibly do just as good a job or better wou
