Lol who cares if or anyone leans to one side, their has to be a preference between the two no? The ps4 happens to win in some cases, so does XB1.
I just think its funny they need to come over here to justify their little purchase. I mean, if the ps4 was soooo badass, why would one even need to defend it and spend all those hours in threads doing so? Or even argue for it? IHell go play that stellar lineup of blockbusters, there shouldn't even be enough time in the day to argue about it.
I don't see the Wii U thread attracting all this attention
The reality is, the xb1 is a threat to someone's little emotions and plastic shrines.
I hate the expression......but thats real talk right here. I concur. If the 4 was really all that, there wouldnt need to be any defending of it and the majority of 4 players wouldnt need to spend countless hours in Xbox threads, and there would be a hell of a lot more articles raving about how the 4 is "the future of gaming consoles" or "the 4 feels like the future!", etc, etc. When you know you got it, there's no need to say anything. It speaks for itself. Mediocre persons and products never garner such discussions and bashings. You realise the desktop cards that it was created for have no embedded ram right ? 90% of the devices with tiled resources have no embedded ram it still helps with the cache.

Yeah those three posts took me all day, where will I ever find the time to play games?
Face it none of us are the ones ever bringing up the PS4 or console warz in this thread and this isn't a team sport though I think some of you see it that way. It only took until page two in this thread and it already was sounding like a misterxmedia blog. Here's an idea: How about some of you actually mimic the PS4 thread and don't bring up the other console and hardware differences... at all! Maybe discuss the Xbox One and all it's great games? Who gives a sh*t about the PS4 right?
Yeah you "lol'd" at everyone else and called everyone "a f*cking loser" just because we can tell the difference between one third and double the size of a simple rectangle.
Any game that only does alpha blending isn't going to be that pretty. Also resolution gate is because you cannot fit a entire gbuffer into it a single 1080p frame itself is only something like 7Mb
As long as were in the Xbox threads, no harm no foul. If your 4 was all that you wouldnt care to come here to defend it, plain and simple. Plus you'd stick to the PS4 threads and rant and rave about how awesome the 4 is in regards to gaming consoles. Why come to a forum where there is mostly positive outlook that goes against your personal preference or that you dont agree with? Makes no sense to me. Never has made sense to me. If the 4 is all that, stay in the 4 forums where you dont have to show up and defend it, and like minds can agree with you.

Did you see my first post in this thread? It was a correction of a bandwidth figure followed by a question about hardware design. How was it a defense of a PS4? Explain that one to me.
Maybe you should start a Mcmasters-friendly thread where you can only say nice things about the Xbox One, no matter how incorrect.

No that is not a 30% increase. I don't think you understand dimension/area. Listen, divide that 720P image in thirds, and add one of those thirds to the original image to get a 33% increase. It seems like you added 30% to the length and 30% to the width, which is a 69% increase in size.
Maybe because no one ever brings up the Xbox One or all of these comparisons in there. We just talk about the PS4 and its games.
I hereby swear that I will never post in this thread again unless I own an Xbox One and am a huge fan, which admittedly won't be until at minimum a year from now if there is a huge price drop and a bunch of must have exclusives and I don't have to buy Kinect. If I post even once you can perma IP ban me from the site, just to get some semblance of peace because I actually respect you and the site.
That being said, as the owner of this site watch how long it will take until there is some discussion of the PS4 or some comparison to the PS4 or a PS4 game or PS4 sales or anything to do with PS4 in here. There will be some bait or some comparison to PS4 or some console warz this or that, and then once someone posts who doesn't agree with it the same people cry foul. It is at worst a daily occurrence, at best a weekly one.
You have my word I'll be watching from the sidelines from now one in this thread. It ain't worth correcting some bandwidth figures and puresoul logic only to find yourself arguing about how to calculate a rectangle and getting accused you are just here for revenge two pages later.
If any of you guys get the "other console" I would love to add you to my friends list and we can bury the hatchet with some gaming, just come on over to the PS4 thread. None of this is serious business to me, really. I even love you Mcmasters.
Again, why are you here? I never asked for a friendly thread. We only ask that 4 fans kindly keep the bickering and constant negativity of Xbox out of the Xbox forums. Again, most Xbox gamers dont go over to the PS forums to defend the Xbox, but 4 gamers are constantly here, sharing so called "wisdom and knowledge" from an arm chair dev perspective without any actual inside intelligence on anything Xbox or 4 for that matter. LOL. We give you the respect of not coming over into your 4 thread and bashing on the 4, we expect the same in return. This might get very confusing becouse sometimes I can't write things the way I see the but here I go
The reason the 4 is brought up because RIGHT NOW it has the best looking multi plat games. The X1 on the other hand has some great looking MS studio exclusives, but not all technology available in the console is being utilized.
Now MS has been talking about cloud, and tiles for a while. Even though each technology is not new alone, the way X1 is using them is. This is why I think that programmers are having such a hard time reaching the same rates/pixel count.
In time developers will get the hang of what MS has done, and might even surpass what even MS thought the X1 is capable of doing.Then it will become the prototype of how new Consoles are made.
See Sony has their stuff already. As far as I know has no innovation. Tried and true programming, but with a lot more power added to it. There is nothing wrong with playing it safe.They don't programmers having to spend extra man hours figuring things out.
MS on the other hand has went with something new,and difficult. This is why I have been so adamant of H5 being released this year. Its MS job to show 3rd pd how to use what they made, and that in the long run its worth it. Its not 3pd figure out how to use a complicated system up to its full potential.
Lets say H5 comes out at 900p instead of the already promised 1080p, but blows everything graphics wise out of the water.( since thats what all the bruha is about)Then MS can, and rightly so say developers just don't want to learn a new way to program.
Personally one of the reasons why I want the X1 to succeed is because what it can lead to down the road. As far as how what games, and console are capable of doing.
Take cell phones as an example if blackberry wouldn't of taken a chance of making the first smartphone, there wouldn't be an iPhone, android, W8.
