Rings a bell....D
Nice video, but didn't Astro tell us all this, six months ago?
Strider? Gameplay reminds me of Shadow Complex.Shadow Complex II baby!
I'd s*** myself if that were annouced at the show.
Well it is called Entertainment Expo and not Game ExpoNon gaming related things should be covered on youtube and blogs. I do hope though that we get some info about dashboard updates and other new features.
I can understand why Microsoft isnt yelling this information from the roof tops though. Last time they even tried, they were ripped to shreds by arm chair devs who knew better than the engineers who actually developed the XBO. But it is unfortunate that they arent prepared as Im sure they wished they had been. Meanwhile, their entire vision is being questioned and we have this reversal going on that continues to taint the Xbox brand. What needs to happen at this point is they need to show how this works and show it in real world game development and the results thereof. Its only in this instance, that they will be able to turn things around while reminding people why they chose the XBO to begin with. Fingers crossed. Why this picture? It really isn't that farfetched at all. In fact, what the guy says about the SKU is exactly what a dev told Digital Foundry too. The developer of Sniper Elite 3 said something similar. The guy in the video is probably right though, it won't be until the end of this year, early 2015 that devs hopefully get their full understanding of the esram.
Go ahead n ask I got 1000G in it :-)Is there a Need for speed thread? Wife got the game and she wants me to ask a couple of questions. Looked, and I didn't see one. Don't know if I just overlooked it.
Dat secret sauce.
Just look at Rage for xbox360 to see how beautiful the result is.I can understand why Microsoft isnt yelling this information from the roof tops though. I couldnt play Rage. Motion sickness after 15 minutes of play. Gorgeous game though.Just look at Rage for xbox360 to see how beautiful the result is.
Because I think that video is a load of crap? I love how unpopular opinions are considered trolling around here.Actually, your trolling......Just sayin. But, if thats how you roll.
Thoughts?
The game had stunning graphics and ran 1080p 60fps on xbox360 but all that was possible due to eDRAM and tiled resources.I couldnt play Rage. Motion sickness after 15 minutes of play. Gorgeous game though.
I owned it and played it but it literally gave me motion sickness so I traded it in. I was really disappointed that I couldnt finish it however. It was pretty incredible. The game had stunning graphics and ran 1080p 60fps on xbox360 but all that was possible due to eDRAM and tiled resources.
That all depends on if devs are willing to spend extra time inputing extra code but this would affect games big time for all platforms especially ones with embeded ram. This is actually Old news. We have known about tiled resources since before or at launch, and we have known about the SDK update for weeks now too. All that is left is too wait a bit and see how games are effected.
That was trolling and according to Rage there are benefits to all consoles or pc with this technique. Xbox has more benefit from it due to eSRAM.
There's a whole MS presentation of how it works and not a single dev has said otherwise.
No not really as I said Rage ran 1080p60fps on PC and x360 well pc due to power and x360 due to eDRAM ps3 version was 30fps because of lack of embeded ram. So yes xbox would benefit a lot from it but end result would be probably same as ps4Not to mention that it sounds like XBO is the only next gen console that can accomplish this. If this ends up being like the "cell" however (a lot of talk and hoopla...) its going to put a bad taste in my mouth for Microsoft.
"Secret sauce" or not, seems to be legit. We'll see...
Same works for me. But then again, I'd be happy with 900p being the sweet spot if that be the case.No not really as I said Rage ran 1080p60fps on PC and x360 well pc due to power and x360 due to eDRAM ps3 version was 30fps because of lack of embeded ram. It really does sound like Microsoft had a plan to begin with, its just a shame that the SDK's weren't up to task as of yet. There's so much that seems to be forward thinking already about the current XBO. And Microsoft has a pretty good track record of coming through with a lot of the things they announce, so I believe at some point most if not all bullet points you have will see fruition.i think its interesting just how many wild card elements the XB1 has compared to the ps4. Sure, probably none of them are worthy of being a "secret sauce", but who knows, one of these elements could surprise us, especially if they can get them working in tatum like they are planning.
Esram
Tiled Resources
Cloud
GPU reserves
So all of these are just coincidentally worthless? I think not. Again, none of them are game changers alone, even the GPU reserve is a very small gap narrower, but thats not my argument, the point is together those above could really make a difference, especially when you have developers like 343i and cryteck laying around. I don't think sony fanboys will be happy about the results when an exclusive developer gets ahold of those with updated kits.

Well, this gen just began. There's an entire generation of possibilities!Where is the cloud making xbox one 4 times more powerful If they can come through on that then that would be impressive
