There has got to be a reason why my xbox takes 10+ tries to hear me say "Xbox On". Am I the only one who has to repeat it 10 times? There has got to be a fix for this or something. It is driving me nuts. It's the only voice command that sucks.

Works fine for me. Just try to recalibrate it. When it plays that music I've always put the volume up really loud. Even with the Kinect 1. Speech has always been flawless.

I'll give it a shot when I set up my new speakers in a few days. I don't understand why the xbox can hear me just fine with every other command though. Why should I need to recalibrate for just 1 command. That is weird.

For me it's "Xbox, record that"

Everyone seems to have one command that doesn't work great. I think it's to do with your voice pitch or inclination. I've heard that recalibration works great if you turn up the TV loud during the test

Mine doesn't work..... everything else works spot on but mine stopped working one day and I've tried everything and can't get it to turn on.

Are you drunk? Because it doesn't work for me at all when i'm drunk.

Xbox On works every time for me.

As far as the controller goes, mine is looking good. No cuts or anything, maybe some people are going too hard.

http://bgr.com/2013/12/02/xbox-one-vs-playstation-4-sales-black-friday/

According to this article and quite a few more, the XBOX ONE and XBOX360 dominated Black Friday sales in NA.

Yes, and a quick search of news.google.com shows that everyone expected that the X1 would not in fact outsell the PS4 2:1

Given the history of Black Friday for the Xbox brand in general, that could mean as much as a million consoles on just that day... Assuming the inventory was there.

I wouldn't get caught up in the numbers game. It's fair to say at the minute that the Ps4 is ahead of the X1 in the mind share of most core gamers. It's got the lower price on its side plus all the bad press for all this year since the rumours of always online started. I expect the Ps4 to pull ahead for the next 18 months but once the Xbox1 starts getting in enough living rooms and the word gets out about the likes of Xbox fitness, the sky is the limit for X1.
Anyway, MS performs better as the underdog and will spend their way to the top if need be. We as gamers will be better off. I'm confident the X1 has more to offer than the Ps4 and will eventually pull out in front. There is no denying that the perception of being the weaker but more expensive console will hurt it in the short term.

To change the topic... I have placed my console on my desk, and noticed the air flow of the console. The upper right ceiling with a vent is the only place where the air comes out, hence the only spot in the whole console that is warm. Every other vents let the air in, and is not heated at all. While doing all of this, the console is very quiet... The transformer I connected my power brick into is the loudest part of the system.

console is quiet as hell but my power brick makes weird noise, its so annoying. like a vibrating phone on a table. i tried moving it, holding it up.. nothing fixes it :( it doesnt sound as bad as i am probably making out but i can hear it when i wake up in the morning and its annoying lol i may need to fully turn off the system at night

What I read around is to go to xbox and hold the power button like 15 sec untill xbox turns off, this fixed it for some ppl

Hmmmm that seems strange to me, I don't think I can hear mine at all.....I'll check tonight and get back to you.

For the first few days I was also having this problem, but then I read (on here I think) someone said something about saying "Xbox On" at normal/fast speed. Before that I would always give a significant pause between "Xbox" and "On". Now I just do "Xbox On" pretty quick and it works just about every time. Give it a try.

Yes. I read that on here too. Was doing the same thing, leaving a slight pause between xbox and on. Now I just speak at a normal speed to it and it works fine.

Just found a MAJOR flaw in the controller design. The stick on the joystick by the dpad is getting cut by the rim. Put the picture on twitter I think. Is anyone else having this problem.

That happens with wear and tear of the Xbox controllers, it's been doing that since the original large controllers before they switched to the S-controller on original Xbox. Hell, N64 controllers do that as well.

One thing that bothers me on my X1 controller is that both sticks are already loose when in their neutral position. I can also feel the stick move further once I've pushed the stick to the edge of its circle zone, this happened all the time on X360 controllers and I hated it.

I was hoping this issue would be resolved with X1 controllers but looks like it's not.

Can't link but on oxm.uk they say there is some big reveals concerning Titenfall next week at VGX and a reveal from Square Enix for the X1.
