The Xbox Onesie

Game performance, well not sure what I can say here that Digital Foundry hasn't already said....
Yeah... I'm not so sure I trust either of those blokes, purely based on the shapes of their craniums.

Neither of them iron the collars of their shirts either, and we all know that people with creased collars are worse than arsonists/people who decide to open their confectionery after the movie starts.

Everything seems solid so far. Faster UI and load times on games being the big improvement for me. Still need to get a 4K TV but i'm already seeing the advantages of supersampling. Games like Gears 4 and Halo 5 look much cleaner and i imagine it's the case across the board. The few 360 titles i've tried also looked better than i remember them.

Think it's safe to say Microsoft accomplished what they set out to do. Looking forward to enjoying the world's most powerful console for the next few years at least and playing the majority of my multiplats on X1X like i did with the 360.

Mines still in the box inside the box that I’m cane in when delivered from bestbuy...BoTW has me hooked, whilst Mario Odyssey is still in its box too. Kinda can’t open them as the lady wants to smell that new console/game smell too lol

I'd give it an 8.

Two negative points for me:

- System froze on day one update. Had to get a new one. Online customer support couldn't even fix it. Plus side is the replacement system was a Project Scorpio Edition which is a nice bonus
- Don't have a 4k tv yet (coming this week), so I haven't seen the true visual upgrade yet (higher native res and HDR)

Other than that, the system is quite good:

- Sleek
- Super quiet
- More compact (form and no more power brick)
- The controller feels better than X1 OG's
- Super smooth and fast UI
- Absolutely no issues with connectivity. X1 OG would sometimes have the controller zap out for 2 seconds, or it wouldn't turn on the console by pressing the controller home button (I'd have to press the start button on the console). No idea why that happened on OG. But for X, everything works
- Aside from the lousy bricked system I got one day one, this replacement system has had no system freezes, getting booted to the dashboard or any other nonsense. The system and UI are much better than the OG days
- Backwards compatibility works better too. On OG, getting a BC game to work does work most of the time, but sometimes it chops up or freezes and you have to re-do it. For BC on X, everything works smooth. No issues playing BC yet. Not even hic-cuppy start ups. Everything starts up smooth and the BC game plays smooth
- I bought some 4k movie discs and will buy some more to take advantage of the 4k player

1.Lost Odyssey

It went BC last year and was free last December, i've owned the game since 2008 and never got that far. I decided to finish it so this has about 80+ hours of play time.

2. Sonic Adventure

I remembered the login information for my alternate live account and remembered i got this free with a glitch on Live many years ago (OMAN), It went BC a few months ago. I got 125 emblems on Dreamcast and I became obsessed with getting all 130 on this. Which meant hours of ring grinding and Chao Feeding. i think i played 43 hours.

3. Halo Wars

I think i legendaried the campaign (which i heroic'd in 2011 waiting for Halo CE Anniversary) and had a few games to prep for Halo Wars 2. Im not sure it would be # 3.

4. Halo Wars 2

My service record has over 60 hours for campaign only, theres no way Halo Wars was more.

5. Darksiders

I spent over 50 hours with Arkham Knight last month and im sure Darksiders topped out at 30 hours so im sceptical of the method used to gauge my top 5. I really enjoyed it. I put 11 hours in with Darksiders 2 before moving onto something else.

Also pretty sure ive put another 40-50 hours into Halo 5 this year. I replayed half the game to get my legendary solo cheevo and went from a SPR 73 to 101.

Total play time is 1006 hours, which if viewed upside down...

#2 Elder Scrolls Online
#3 Ghost Recon Wildlands

Not at all what I expected. Not my favorite games, but I guess they killed some time. PvZ was totally kid related.

First the Ashes, now this? Suck it UK! :p

To be fair, Ive no idea what 'The Ashes' actually are in regards to cricket, nor who won them... But you guys get coke a heap cheaper. I mean, $300 a gram?! It should be criminalised, how much they charge us for narcotics! And I was hoping for a white Xmas.

Only 15 achievements? According to someone here that means you are not a true gamer :hehe:

I bought Disneyland Adventures for my fiance for Christmas, since she's a big Disney park fan. It's a very realistic representation of the entire park, she says. (The park map is 1:1, but the rides are game levels) She reality likes the game.

To me, some of the levels (rides) feel like the controller support was tacked on. I tried looking for a Kinect on eBay. Holy sh!t! The prices for Kinect are usually well over $100, and so is the adapter! Microsoft has created a collector's item in short time. I'm currently selling my Dreamcast Broadband Adapter, and I'll probably get under $200 for it. I'm not going to pay more for a Kinect and adapter combo, which I say sell for about $240 together.
