Video games like to place a lot of grass vegetation on terrains but then also paint the terrain with grass textures. The last time I checked, grass grows on fertile brown soil, not a compacted green mesh of more grass.

Why were there cooked roast chickens in the bins for you to eat in numerous scrolling beat 'em ups?

Why does no one else loot treasure chests hidden in plain sight?

Why does a dagger do less damage than a claymore? Any warrior would know how to use the weapon. Don't bash armor with it, stick it in their neck or something!

Where do they store all that equipment they are carrying around?

How do people in ancient times know an item is stolen that you are selling?

How do you buy things with "souls" in Dark Souls? Hold on, let me get a couple thousand souls out of my pocket for this sword. Let's see, one soul, two, three....nine hundred...hold on I lost count...

How do guards identify you when there are no witnesses? Aha! You fired that arrow from the dark, no doubt about it. It's off to jail with you!

Why can't I climb over this small rock? Just lift your leg one foot!

How many times does Mario have to save Peach before he gets some? I like cake but come on lady.

- Double jumps
- You can float and move directions while jumping in mid air
- You can get shot up, punched, kicked and damaged by explosions and survive. But fall off a 10 ft ledge and it's auto-death. You can't even do a silly QTE to brace your fall and live
- Forced cut scenes
- Throwing a grenade in shooters requires aiming, but you can't adjust how hard you throw it. So if you want to "gently" lob a grenade, you can't but have to toss it hard and run or try to bank it off a wall to get it right
- Why console games hardly ever let you save anywhere, while PC games typically allow you to do that
- In stealth games, after being detected they go back to normal after 60 seconds
- The first level in many types of games is usually a grassy type of setting. Then later on, you get the ice level, fire level, swamp level, castle level
- Icy/snowy levels are basically no different than normal setting levels except you may slide a bit moving around. Few games take into account your guy may freeze to death, gear/food may get frozen, get injured due to cold, and slow down. And zero games take that into account with enemy AI.

When is the last time in human history that someone kicked someone else's ass by landing on their enemy's head with their own ass?

Oh yeah, can't forget gamers surviving gunfights and grenades no problem, but somehow one hit from the butt end of a rifle or a knife slash across the arm is enough to kill someone.

If you ever learned skateboarding hoping to pull off those 10,000,000 point combos you did in Tony Hawk Pro Skater....

Nathan Drake can fall from great heights on one level of UC3, yet dies if he falls from a second story ledge earlier in the game.

Shinobi. Amazing game... One of the best... I finally beat it, and... Game over. The same "game over" I saw a million times every time I lost... But I won??!?

Invisible walls.

I don't get why people say cars in racing games handle realistically, they do NOT! lol, even with a racing wheel you never have the true sense of what it's like to drive a real car.

I don't get why it's ok for Japanese game makers to sexualize school girls.

I don't get why in many FPS games I have to push the jump button to get over something low to the ground, why can't they just step over that stuff on their own?

I don't get why characters in some games die when they go any further than 3 feet into a body of water.

Why are cut scenes do deadly in RPGs? In battle, I can have a meteor drop on my head and take me to -1,000,000 hit points and so long as I use this item i have in my inventory, i can come right back to life. In some games with full health. But if a character gets stabbed our shot in a cut scene, they're dead but good.

Why is it almost every time I rescue a kidnapped character that needs to be escorted to safety they are a helpless idiot and there is a timer?

At least in Far Cry 4, he was knocked out... and there was no timer! Damn, that game is awesome :D

Wanna know what I don't get about video games? Why there are so many pixels. There's well over a thousand! It's too many pixels for my liking.

Why does no one care if Link breaks their pots and steals their Rupees?

Or worse....seemingly armed to the teeth with various lethal weapons and barging into random houses. Must be dat kokiri innocence. Imagine if Link was psychotic. No one would be spared. Not even the chickens at Lon Lon Ranch.
