What game are you playing now ? v. 2.0

I have this as well. My main problem is that I have an electric acoustic (Martin DCPA 5 Black :D ), and the sound lag can be a bit off-putting. I imagine it would be better with a straight electric. For this reason, I've barely touched it. I should give it another go...
Yeah, I have had an old Washburn acoustic-eclectic as well. I have had it for over 10-years, and (embarrassingly) only tried a few YouTube lessons so far. I was going to pick up Rocksmith years ago, but I feared exactly what you are stating, that it would feel off without a true electric pickup. When my friend accepted the $50 bid, I went strait to eBay and Amazon. Oddly Amazon had a better deal than I could find on eBay.

It was also the "people who bought this, also bought..." section that made me discover the DR Neon strings. Very cool, and they don't even say Rocksmith anywhere, so props to Amazon, or I wouldn't have known. They got good reviews for their sound quality, but they just happened to be painted the same color as the game. Yeah, right. (They should seriously just get the endorsement)

Another cool thing that I could try, is that they glow under a blacklight, so I could keep the room dark while playing and still see the strings, a well as the numbered sticker tabs that came with the game.

I know, these are all training wheels, but they keep the game feeling like a game. I might get a REAL electric (this is just a Squire, after all) some time and leave this one setup like this just for this game and whatever sequel(s), so anybody can come over and play, at any level. The guitar is all white (not that I had a choice), so the strings really stand out.

Have you watched any of the GDC unreal 4 tech discussions? Very cool. The character animation and procedural damage vids were sweet.
Nope. I have not follow UE4 news since I took a long break from development work to reduce stress due to health issue.

Now, thinks are better, so I may return soon.

I continue my PlayStation exclusive expedition as I work through a back-catalog of PlayStation published games for the first time in 15 years. Finished Horizon. Thought it was good but not great and a little over-rated. Really bad AI, robotic voice acting and lack of real incentive to play around in the open world took the game down from being a classic.

Moved on to Last of Us. Usually I'm not a fan of watching games over playing them but this game is the exception. Amazingly well done. Game sets the bar for videogame acting and storytelling that I'm not used to.

Gave up on Bloodbourne. Just can't get used to playing Soulsbourne games without paddles on my controller.

Just downloaded God of War 3 Remastered and Journey super cheap. Never played a God of War game before.

Finished Orc Slayer on PS4 last night. If you're thinking $4 is a good deal and you ever want to try it, just don't. It's really not worth the headache. Even if you're addicted to easy trophies like me.

Just bought Rare Replay and playing all the games from my childhood. Banjo Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark. Banjo and PD are great ports. But Conker... no so much. It's still a great game. The humor is still top notch. My gf was watching me play and said "WTF kind of game is this?!" Models are sharper but everything else, sound and graphics wise are still stuck in its old 64 resolution.

Still working my way through Horizon Zero Dawn. Will be grabbing MLB The Show 17 tonight.

The Show is great from what I've played so far. New PS4 Pro features for high framerate is beautiful. Now if only the servers were facked.

I've been switching between Horizon and Ghost Recon since they came out. I'll probably throw the rest of my games in the garbage, because none of them compare to the greatness of either of these games.

Finished: NCAA Basketball 2010 (360), Dirt 3 (PC), Project Car (PC)

Playing: Nioh (PS4), Until Dawn (PS4), Mirror's Edge Catalyst (PS4), Castlevania The Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition (PC),

Been bonding with my 11 year old daughter (will be 12 in summer) playing Last of Us. Am I a bad parent? Lol

She's completely into the story and helping me think through situations. Before that she was into Horizon and Alloy. I'm more of a Xbox guy but I think I got a PlayStation girl.

If you're looking for strong female characters Alloy seems like a good bet. Not sure if you had played it yet but isn't the main character of Recore female as well?

Finished: Until Dawn (PS4), Castlevania The Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition (PC)

Playing: Nioh (PS4), Mirror's Edge Catalyst (PS4), Batman TellTale Game (PS4)

Still Horizon Zero Dawn. Took a bout a 10 day break from it, and gaming all together. It was fun to come back to. Finally got my TV calibrated to a setting I like for HDR, which has the game almost feeling brand new again visually. Such a beautiful game.

Still Mass Effect:Andromeda when I can get control of the TV, but I've also been playing the "Free Weekend" of Football Manager 17 the past two weeks. That game is still bloody addictive.

I need to stop playing GTAV online. I have been addicted to this game for years now to the point it's the only game I play and I need help, I'll admit it!

But yesterday I accidentally fired up Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (a freebie) while trying to delete s*** off my HDD and made a weird decision to try it and I'm really enjoying it.

Back to GTAVO though (help me!)

Finished: Nioh (PS4), Mirror's Edge Catalyst (PS4), Batman TellTale Game (PS4)

Playing: Persona 5 (PS4), Rain World (PC)

Been playing Forza 6 (FINALLY got a first place finish on Hard difficulty) and FH 3 (I thought it was cool that India's [I think] first Sports car was unveiled at some car show, and it was released for free in Forza Horizon 3!).

Also some Horizon: Zero Dawn, and the free trial of Dishonored 2 (awesome! Check it out!)

I haven't had a ton of time to play though, as I've been remodeling my house so I can sell it in a couple weeks (Have spent a total of around 16 hours re-tiling by Kitchen [DAMN YOU HERRINGBONE PATTERN!]. Still a ton to do :(

Finished Torment: Tides of Numenera, and started on INSIDE.

How was Torment?

I liked it, but had some bugs, sow had to save often, did once have to delete some of my savings.
Also camera would Zoom in and make it hard to Zoom out again on pc (did not work well with my mouse wheel), sow had to use a Xbox 360 controller.
The story was best part of the game, but much reading, also found it was often better to try to avoid combat when possible.
Took me around 30 hours to complete.

Sow?

If like a story driven game and does not mind the bugs then it may be worth checking, and should save often as was one quest I recall had trouble with completing, had to retry that a few times before it finally accepted that had completed the quest.
Also as said was one problem with save games at one point, got stuck on trying to load the save game, would wait and wait and nothing did happen, then worked again when I deleted a few of the save games in the folder.

However was not that often did encounter bugs like that, for me it was more the Zooming that was the issue, as it would often automatic zoom in when loading the game and on pc they do not use keyboard for zooming out, uses the mouse and for me the scroll wheel was not working at all, sow had to change to a Xbox 360 controller in order to zoom out.

And not a game for everyone since very much reading, also you get parts like this that are as a text based adventure:

I was just pokin' fun at you spellin' "so" as "sow" ;)

Finally finished Ori and the Blind forest, let's just say i'm glad to see the back of Mount Horu that escape was fustratingly relentless, rest of the game was pretty damn amazing.

Now onto Wolfenstein and Shadow Warrior both are dirt cheap this week (X1) and hugely enjoyable.

I suddenly remember I had a game call OVERWATCH which I actually preordered, & never played.

I also want to play Witcher 3 DLC. Then I need to complete Deus Ex & ME4. On top of Blackdesert which I bought & play like 2 sititng.

Yet I am tempted to get new games.

Finished: Rain World (PC)

Playing: Persona 5 (PS4), Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment DLC (PC)
