What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

Started Happy, a weird show on SyFy. Imagine if Crank and Max Payne had a baby, that is kind of like what Happy is.

I'm enjoying it.

I finished Mindhunter couple nights ago. That show was really well done and I found the subject of the FBI in the 70’s trying to understand what they term serial killers really interesting. It had a good cast and was nice to see Anna Torv in something else I loved her in Fringe. Looking forward to a season 2.

Finally finished up season 1 of The Orville. Great show and looking forward to another season. Also watching through the first season of The Grand Tour now that I have Prime. Not sure what show to pick up to replace The Orville though. Might do the final season of The Leftovers finally and then work on some other HBO shows I never got to like The Wire.

The Wire made me not like TV for a few months after I watched it. I'm not even kidding. It's that good.

I still need to get around to The Wire. I saw the Blu Ray box set on sale at Best Buy after Black Friday I should have picked it up then.

I'm watching the newest episide of Star Trek Discovery.

All the writers of the show need to be lined up in front of 6 ft deep holes and shot in the back so that their bodies fall directly into those holes. No one should survive. This is truly terrible TV.

Yeah, the show is really well done. Love the interviews.

The casting is pretty much perfect.

Is anyone watching Riverdale?

I'm using it to desensitise myself from the fact that my fiance is a ginger, by prolonged exposure to Archie's badly dyed red hair.

The one thing my arsehole dad left me when he died, were his comics that I was never allowed to read, but I kept stealing from him, and the original Archie series is one of them.

I love how they've adapted it, but they've overplayed the stereotypes to the max.

I wish the Pussycats were bigger characters, instead of tokens tacked onto the storyline. I hope they keep the seasons short too. 13 episodes in season 1 was stretching it. Would have been better as 10.

Ive never really been a Treky (I'd watch it sporadically when it was on in the middle of the night, and I've seen a few movies), but I had this show planned to be the one to watch after The Realhousewives finished. :(

I may have let my emotions get the better of me when I wrote that. You may like it, as there are people out there that do. I'm just super offended as a Star Trek fan at almost every turn. If you're a non Trekkie, I can see having less of a problem with it.

With that being said, theoretically one of the many pillars of Star Trek is that humanity has solved their infighting of the past. It's supposed to be the next stage of humanity where we all learned how to work together for the betterment of our species. No more wars, no more disease, no more prejudice. Then, you have a ship and oganization (Starfleet) that takes the best and brightest of our ALREADY AMAZING people and give them a highly important position and task to do.

Then we get to see these people and they're all morons who fight with eachother. They all make really dumb decisions constantly and they all scheme and attack one another. It's like a poorly written high school drama. There is no way humanity has come this far if these characters represent us. The ship is filled with adults who suffered from severe fetal alcohol syndrome as infants. Bleh.

I could never get into the old Star Trek shows and movies. I really enjoyed the 3 newest films and plan on checking out the new show when I can. Your hatred of it being a die hard Trek fan has me thinking I will like it.

You probably will as I'm the exact opposite. The 3 newest movies felt too generic for me and not Trek enough. With that being said, I didn't find them to be bad, just forgetable. Discovery, IMO, is downright bad.

I didn't enjoy the old Trek stuff either, but like you, I did enjoy the new movies. However, this new show was pretty meh. Didn't find the writing to be good. Didn't seem like there was one genuinly interesting character.

To me it was consistenly mediocre.

Well, based on your suggestion I tried an episode and now I've watched the whole 1st season in a couple hours.

Really enjoyed it thanks!

Couple amazing "cameos" Super Hans of Peep show fame is in some episodes, and Asha/Yara of GoT plays a big role later, took me so long to figure out where I saw her before and then it clicked. She looks so different in this show but she's great.

So there's a second season? Seems to be a BBC show, Netflix seems to take an unnecessary long time getting the newer seasons up from a channel that is basically free in the UK and it's pretty annoying. I know there's reasons behind that but it's still irritating to me.

I finally watched it. Two thumbs up from me too. Kept liking it more and more the deeper I got.

Just finished the first episode of electric dreams, it was “aight”, but I’m still intrigued and will continue forth and see what plays out...

Cons- Predictable, the twist was a bit underwhelming, and maybe a bit racist if you think about it (play that card).

Pros- Intriguing and it kept you second guessing your predictions.

Watching Justified for the second time. I love the show.
Definitely great show. I watched it from the beginning and then found out my brother was also watching it. Both figured it would be something my dad would like so we got him the first season for him to catch up on. After that he was hooked as well and I know he has watched the series a couple times since then.

I saw 3 episodes and a bit of the fourth. Found it rather boring to be honest.

Gave Star Trek Enterprise on Netflix a shot and I'm really enjoying it, just started the final season and I really like the cast and the story telling, it's too bad this show only got 4 seasons. .
