I picked up Wildlands the other day because of the sale, I've only played a little of it though but it looks alright with the One X update, not amazing or anything, at least not compared to AC Origins, hell watch dogs 2 on the Pro looks better IMO, to me it looks better than the Division but worse than AC Origins and WD2 overall, at least the parts I've seen so far.

Very true, especially with so many games coming out that seem broken even after their day 1 patch (why is this normal now?) the info they provide does help sort of prepare us for some issues that could be there that we otherwise wouldn't expect. The overall score doesn't determine if I buy the game or not either unless it's something that gets universally low marks.

Have you tried the multiplayer yet? It's pretty damned good.

No not yet and the little bit of the single player I tried was enjoyable enough, I have no regrets about buying it at all I just think some of the claims about it's graphics are a bit over hyped. I still see that LOD line going across the screen really close to the player, that's something I don't really see in most open world games anymore.

What kind of enhancement did this game get? I saw HDR.

• Increased distance at which object and terrain details will start to appear.
• Anisotropic filtering for better definition of terrain textures.
• Increased resolution of the terrain textures.
• Improved temporal antialiasing for less ghosting.
• Increased tessellation factor of the ground.
• New data set in high resolution for ground decals, i.e. more finesse in puddles, ruts and footprints.

To think of all the games I would have missed out on if I based my buying on scores.

Apparently they also raised the rendering resolution, seems pretty vague. I want to see a DF article on it.

No I hadnt used my day one Xbox One for the last couple years. I let my teen daughter have it in her room and played my PS4.
Having said that, the new user interface looks alot better than what what I remember but its still not nearly as intuitive as PS4.
 
I double dipped and got The Division seeing as there's an X patch coming even though I have it on PS4. For 21 bucks Canadian I figure that's a bargoon laddie.

I haven't played the Division in over a year, but I'm really digging the 1.8 patch
