Diablo Grande, California.
The so called 'New Generation' has been out for a weeks so I thought I'd make a thread and pose a few questions to see if you (the consumer) are happy with your purchase? do you wish you'd have waited? or do you wish you'd have gone the other way? Ie: bought a Playstation but should have got a Xbox One for example.

Happy with my PS4 although already feel like I'm in a drought with it. Beat Killzone story, otherwise I only have NFS and FIFA. Will get Knack but waiting for a sale. Otherwise not a problem though as I have a big enough backlog on PS3 to play until some more games come out on PS4. I could really go for a Fallout or another 100 hour RPG on the PS4 to really get me into it again.

This generation has some great games on launch. NBA2K14, BF4, AC4 and plenty of others. Will definitely hold me over until Feb next year when the new games will hit.

I am pretty happy with my PS4 so far. It's a great console through and through. I'll get an Xbox one some time in the future depending on the exclusives. And I'm talking REAL exclusives not games that i can also play on my PC.

Thats deep....

No, at least not with what's out at launch. I returned my PS4. No sense in playing games at lowered settings than what I could already on pc.

I'll wait until next year, and get a console when destiny comes out.

I'm very happy with my PS4, and I love the DS4. Can't wait for Infamous next year.

I was referring to last gen. Lots of games that were supposedly 360 only ended up on PC (And in some cases, PS3). Last one was State of Decay. As a 360 and PC gamer i noticed this with quite a few games. It gave me very little reason to use my 360 last gen and i don't want it to happen again with the Xbox one because i still feel that i haven't justified my purchase with the 360.

I dunno about you but exclusives are very important to me. Better quality/visuals/gameplay. They build the games from the ground up for the system.
So yeah i want a X1 but i don't want to just sit there and look at it like with my 360. I want exclusive games that stay exclusive and i want them in bulks.

And. If you don't like somebody's opinion then no need to be aggressive or sarcastic (or whatever you trying to do).

I am "okay" happy with my PS4. I'm really up in arms over Sony's lack of features like playing MP3s not streamed through their online service. The graphics are nice however, and I'm glad I'm getting beautiful games with beautiful textures. But the game selection is still very limited. And Dark Souls II on PS4 has yet to be announced.

Happy with Xbox One, Kinect and pretty much every game I played. Except for BF4 disaster. Not happy with Xbox One controller. Other than some OS tweaks that need to be made the controller is the biggest disappointment. Actually, the d-pad is the disappointment. The rest of the controller is awesome.

Weird that the D-pad is still a problem. I thought that was the main complaint -- almost the only complaint -- about the 360 controller. A billion dollars in research, and the main complaint doesn't get fixed? That seems strange.

I'm very happy with my PS4, and just glad in general that new consoles are finally out. If there are future consoles released I hope we never have another 7-8 year wait again.

Never used the dpad yet I thought they fixed it from 360?
Pretty happy with xb1 can't wait for the future exclusives. Want to see what 343 comes up with. As far bang for the buck can the PC titles hang with Ryse for the price?

A shaved 360 dpad is better than the Xbox One dpad. You have to be deliberate when pulling off moves in Killer Instinct.

Definitely happy with the X1 - as noted around the web and here - there's some issues/defects - but there's lot's of potential there and this is only the beginning.... Definitely looking towards the second wave of games early next year ... but there's enough here to keep me busy...

PS4 - I will eventually own - but not until there's an appealing number of good/solid games available for me to buy...

^I prefer the new d-pad and now use it exclusively for Killer Instinct. :meh:

Love the console. Games look great and I've put in a ton of hours the last few weeks, surprisingly I've only changed the batteries in the controller once. Can't see myself going back to the 360 much except maybe for the upcoming walking dead game.

Happy with Xb1, just wants some new games already. Also in AUS the content is a bit lacking in the dash.

happy with the system just not happy with the games...especially NBA2K 14 and Forza. 2K14 has to be the worst next gen title with all the bugs and glitches and micro transactions.

I have both, I'm happy although I spend about 90% of the gaming time I do have on the Playstation 4. I could have done without the Xbox One to be perfectly honest but $530 over x amount of years doesn't bother me at all.

I will however be without both/any consoles for up to 3 months next week as I fly back to London but looking at the game release schedule I won't miss anything and I should be back just in time for Titanfall in March.

I'm happy so far. I know that getting a system this early will have growing pains and lack many of the games I like the most.... Bethesda, Bioware and NHL.

Biggest disappointment is the lack of demos. I think the only demos are: FIFA, NBA Live, KI, Zoo Tycoon, Xbox Fitness. Maybe I'm missing one or two, but that's pretty much it. No Ryse, no ACIV, no Forza 5, no DR3 etc.... 2k didn't even bother with NBA 2k14.

The same thing happened with 360 the last year or two.... demos thinning out. It seemed in the first 5-6 years just about every game had a demo. Add in demos and trial limits for XBLA/indie games and it's great to let gamers feel out a game before purchase.

Happy with my PS4. Can't believe I finished Contrast, resogun, kz:sf, cod:g, and bf4 in just 3 weeks time. Now working on bf4 online, ac4 and nba 2k14 in between. Played way more this last few weeks than the past year.

Also upgraded from a 50" 720p to 60" 1080p tv and the difference is significant. Everything looks so much crisper and better. Just in time for next-gen!
