Saved up my money for the X. I'm ready..and so hyped. I'm thinking of getting Quantum Break, Rise Of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher 3 with it.

It's always better to pre-order and cancel later if you change your mind than not do it and regret it later, just put the minimum down if you aren't sure and you can always get that back or put it towards games for a console that you already own. That's how I am at least, I know I have awful luck and if I don't pre-order something I want I'll end up having to wait and I'm too impatient for that lol.
I have s Scorpio edition preorderd, but decided to give the taco bell promotion a shot because I will gladly take a 1X.
Didn't win, but I have another code I'm going to give a shot tomorrow early am when I get up for the gym.

You could always keep the code and give it to someone you don't like, or a homeless person...knowing you did the world a good deed
We'll have to wait and see how many people actually go through with their order. Easy to pre-order something and then back out when you come to your senses. $500 is a lot of money for a console lacking exclusives and direction. Pachter said he doesn't expect the Xbox One X to be a big success and thinks it will sell 1 million this year. That would be a decent start, but not exactly setting the world on fire.

Yeah, but don't forget, no-one pre ordered consoles in 2005, i didn't pre-order a dreamcast, nor remember the ridiculous PS2 reserve a reservation scheme, nor Xbox 360 which was in stock the world over 24/7...it don't even think anyone pre-ordered in 2013. 8 million of us just showed up over 45 days.
So really, being the fastest pre-ordered $499 Xbox ever means nothing.
I preordered a ps2 and PS3. Both by just walking into toys r us and taking the slip and putting down my deposit. I actually turned around and sold mine after finding out Gran Turismo 2000 wasn't gonna be a launch title.
The Xbox one x is the first system, besides the snes classic, that I've reserved since then.
I lost my train of thought, gonna go buy me some Taco Bell.

I drove by a Taco Bell on lunch yesterday and almost stopped. I kept going though, as I'm pretty sure you can't enjoy 4k graphics while stuck on the toilet.

Who's hating? I think Pachter is being reasonable with his prediction. I hope the Xbox One X sells 3 million or whatever this holiday but i just don't see it. I'm ready for Microsoft to take back the crown, then i can stop pretending that i want to game on PS4. I only do it because it's the most popular console. Having games to play is just a bonus.

anecdotal evidence among friends suggests the X may do very well in that 3 of the 4 who own an X1 (2 bought S) are getting an X. including me, that makes 4 and the one who ain't getting an X on release is looking to early next year.
