Xbox One X

This looks like what Ryse 2 could have been. The game actually looks darn good. I can nitpick a little about some animations, but I will refrain. I love that there is plentiful AI on the screen. The world looks filled, not barren.

Edit: Disregard, it's an RTS.
Haha. That trailer looked awesome.... but yeah RTS. There's pre-lim gameplay videos on YT already. What a misleading trailer. Here and there there are in-engine cut scenes before you do battle. That's as close you'll get to that trailer.

Pass.

It's almost as bad of a fetish as guys that like hot Asian women's feet. Hypothetically of course.

Not my thing, but as long as those feet are attached to a hot Asian woman, then I'm down....

I still need to play through the first two Metro games. Ugh the backlog.
I forget which one I played, but I didn't like it. Great visuals, 60 fps. But there seemed to be lots of cut scenes. And many of them seemed unskippable. And the levels were small and funneled you through them. Very linear.

Barely felt like a shooter.

Metro Last Light is way more of a shooter than the first one. Both are really good though.

fake but kool

Man I loved my Dreamcast.

Me too, I imported my first one from Japan before it released here, sadly it died within a couple of weeks but the store did exchange it but it was an awesome console. I also imported my N64 then had it altered to take the pins out that stopped the American cartridges from fitting. It's so nice that we no longer have to wait months after a Japanese launch to get a console here in the states.

I thought that they already had done the 4K thing before, I guess not lol. Man I suck at this game but EVERYONE seems to be playing it on PS4 and Xbox One.
Originally it was 1700p on the x . The key to finishing well is to find a good group of friends to play with and squad up. Playing solo is much more Difficult . I have won only 5 solo matches And probably over 20 squad matches . I play pubg a lot more . Still have yet to win a chicken dinner . Have over 20 top two finishes . Its to the point I’m about to pull my hair out ! Lol.

Xbox One 1440p support coming 'very soon' to Xbox One X and Xbox One S

When Microsoft launched the Xbox One X last fall, marketing around the flagship console drove its support for 4K resolutions. While the benefits of 4K are mostly limited to those with compatible displays, the use of supersampling technology also provided benefits for those at 1080p. Although far from the ideal way of experiencing the console's horsepower, this essentially makes for a clearer image, with frequently smoother edges and shadows.

Supersampling might deliver some impressive visual upgrades on 1080p displays, yet the benefits for those on 1440p monitors are limited. Currently, the Xbox One X downsamples exclusively to 1080p, resulting in a lower than native resolution on 1440p displays. Microsoft promised support for 1440p would be coming "soon" after launch, though failed to provide a set time frame.

Kevin Gammill, program manager for Microsoft's Xbox Platform Partner Group has now taken to Twitter, indicating 1440p support will soon make its debut. Teasing that those in the Xbox Insider Program will be "pleasantly surprised," it's fair to assume the feature will be arriving in an imminent update.

Many questions recently around the timing of our 1440p support. Those of you in our early preview ring should be pleasantly surprised very soon if you have an Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

This also confirms 1440p support is on its way not only to Xbox One X but Xbox One S too. However, with 4K gaming currently limited to its flagship, Xbox One S 1440p capabilities will likely be confined to video playback.

Today's news follows a recent tweet from Xbox Insider Program head, Brad Rossetti, teasing that new pre-release builds could be as soon as this week. For now, we'll have to wait for an official announcement, likely with an upcoming build for Xbox Insiders in the Alpha preview ring.

After about a week of testing it looks like the problem I was having is fixed. For some reason, lately I’d be forcefully signed out of Live. I’d get a message that a change to my profile was detected which is odd because it always happened while I was gaming and wouldn’t think to make a change while playing. Anyway, I set up a passcode to sign in or make purchases and that seems to have fixed the issue.

I wish MSFT gave some incentives so developers optimize towards the XBX’s strengths. Monster Hunter: World doesn’t seem to use the raw power of the “X” and even Digital Foundry is a loss as to why that version isn’t running much better. I know MSFT can’t force devs to push the XBX to its limits but perhaps they should do everything in their power to help devs achieve that goal.

I love my XBX. I’ve been playing the Witcher 3 for a while now and thankfully loading times are pretty fast. I often reload a save to make a different choice to see how things play out differently and it takes about 30-45 seconds to load which is like lightning for an open world game of this size.

Yeah I've only played solo, seems like a lot of running around to find someone to try to kill, sadly both times I got the drop on the other guy but ended up being killed first anyway lol.
