Funny, the more money they have, the more they can probably drag out development just like the old days at Rareware.I can't wait to hear people complain about the development process a year from now!
This. 1000%. The environments are beautiful, but dead. Throw in some low resolution butterflies/bugs too. Let the world breathe. Some Dynamic wind would go a loong way to livening up the scenery. This may be new, but it just feels...old.
What Irks me is this is an opportunity to take that classic formula to the next level... Too bad Ratchet and Clank just did that, lol.This. 1000%. The environments are beautiful, but dead. Throw in some low resolution butterflies/bugs too. Let the world breathe.
And also, why isn't that lizard wearing pants? So unrealistic.
Its like when Deep Impact was getting all the hype as the biggest apocalypse movie ever in 1998, and then Boom! What Irks me is this is an opportunity to take that classic formula to the next level... Too bad Ratchet and Clank just did that, lol.

Bruce Willis teamed up with Ben Affleck and one of Aerosmith's bastard children came along with Armageddon.
Lest we forget you Leelee Sorbeleski.
To be completely fair, this game is in fact being created by the original makers of Banjo-Kazooie, and this is a very rough version meant to be a proof of concept. Playtonic Games are now fully funded with over £2,000,000 from Kickstart backers. The game is now in full production. The composer is trying so hard to not sound let his song sound just like the Mumbo Mountain level from Banjo Kazooie 1, and is failing miserably. I'm assuming they brought Grant Kirkhope back to score this, because it's just about verbatim.
As a long-time Banjo Kazooie fan, I'm very interested. However, the characters don't seem to have the same inherent appeal as Banjo or Kazooie, and to be honest it doesn't look like [Not Rare's name here] is doing much to bring anything new to the table after 15 years.
Why wouldn't Microsoft just let these guys make a damn Banjo game? It looks pretty good.
This game is actually an indie game despite its nice graphics so you can't be too critical. It's not intended to have a bunch of high quality procedural destruction. They have a modest budget just like every other indie video game. That looks better, but I'm still sad at the dead feel of the environment.

The game actually does have all that. But yeah the physics aren't standing out too strongly right now in its current state.I don't mean destruction, just some life in the environment like moving leaves and such. That's not that difficult to do, especially since it's so stylized. The style begs for it.
