Would this theory be more killer?.....

3DS sold more units than either X1 or PS4. Yet 3DS handhelds are always well stocked. Lots of units in lots of different colours.

So with tons of stock 3DS units don't sell and the every NPD report that shows 3DS selling the most hardware (practically every NPD report) is a total lie? Trust me. Go to any WM, Costco, Best Buy and grab your phone and take a picture. I bet there's lots of boxes lying around.

Just something to think about. LOL
 
Dude im on break how many posts are on this thread? Dont have time. why dont you go thru all these posts and show me posts where playstation fans have given props to the X1. Like i have for the 4.
 
Interestingly, it seems the Xbox brand (whether it's last gen or in transition to this new gen) always seems to command about half the dollars in the industry.... at least in the past 3-4 years.

Total combined retail spend on the Xbox platform (Xbox One and Xbox 360) in December reached $1.39 billion, 50 percent of the combined software, hardware and accessories spend in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, December 2013).

That's all i've been seeing for the past couple months here and across the web. Cell phone pics and videos of Xbox One's stocked up at retail shops and PS4s sold out. Yet we get the NPD results today that says otherwise. Reality is a hard pill to swallow.

Go check the post history for Valliance or whatever account GP/Puppet is on these days. They've continuously implied that just because some goof ball in Montana or who knows where can snap a pic of Xbox One's on the shelf at Walmart that the X1 isn't selling.

People saying that the PS4 is more popular or that the PS4 is selling better does not equal the following:

1. XB1 sucks
2. XB1 is not selling



Those two statements you made are devoid of any kind of fact. Even the one you person you pointed out has said he wanted an XB1. derp

I'll get on Val's back when deserved, but he's never said they weren't selling. He may have said that XB1s on the shelves is an indication that they either don't sell as fast as PS4s or not as popular as PS4s, but that's a far cry from "XB1s are not selling".

Well, it's easy to sell more in one country when your competitor were mostly out of stock everywhere after November........

What matters is total sold. With that said, both did well, kudos to both. Good times ahead.

Same thing in the end. He was trying to downplay the success of the Xbox One. He was told time and time again that Microsoft is simply doing a better job of supplying retailers with the One vs. the job Sony is doing supplying retailers with the PS4 and he kept ignoring it.

With these NPD results that's proven correct. Fact is, Xbox One cost more, launched in less counties a week later, and had worse PR and still came out on top in December. Valliance wouldn't listen to the facts even though they were right there all along. No way TD, the PS4 is just outselling the Xbox One 3:1! :laugh:

This is how some people here interpret comments:

A couple of Sony fans: "PS4 is the more popular brand. It sold more than Xb1, and just imagine how much more it would have sold if Sony stocked more".
MS fans: "Sony fans are haters. Look, most of them are saying XB1s don't sell".

A couple of Sony fans: "I prefer the PS4 lineup so I got PS4 first, but I'm certainly getting an XB1 down the line, especially to play games like Titanfall".
MS fans: "Sony fans are haters. They're saying XB1 sucks".

Who has a significant WW Lead 4.2 million>3 million(The PS4)
Who has excuses(Xbots)

I said on TXB that the PS4 would win the generation 2:1 over the X1....not sure who said 3:1? and also didn't know the generation was over?

If you going to quote me come correct

That's still a far cry from saying they're not selling.

And come on now, let's be honest, the NPD numbers just means XB1 sold well, which Val never denied. But it's not indication that it's more popular than PS4.
 
Good job MS. It seems like their strategy to focus on NA paid off for December with so many xbox ones in store available for sale.

It'll be interesting to see the next few months sales when the PS4 is also readily available for sale instead of being constrained and selling every single unit out.

MS X1 advertisements I see all the time.
Well MS never did have good PR.

Most important month of the year? That's a load of bs. Fact is, PS4 sold more in 2013 than XB1. PLain and simple. There is no "important" month. December is ONLY important if it sells enough to make up for the other months, which, in this case....it did not.

Who sold more in less countries? That means nothing, that just means MS concentrated more units in less countries while Sony sent out less units to more countries. In the end, PS4 is still extremely popular in the states and a hot item that is hard to find, and MS didn't push to other other countries, that quite honestly, were never very large XB fans. MS sold well in the territories that we all knew it would sell well in. PS4 is selling well world wide, and is selling well in the states as well.



For record, none of what I say means I don't give kudos to MS. They did very well especially considering the backlash they got and the higher price point.

People also forget that November is usually the most important month of the year for retailers. Hence why Xb1 sold more in less time in November than all of Dec.
