What game wins 'Best Graphics of 2014'?

FH2 looks worse than DC.
I hope that a spin saying otherwise isn't being attempted?

What? Ofc it looks worse, I never said otherwise. Its open world for one, but yes Val a sony exclusive looks better than an xbox exclusive, will you be able to sleep now?

If FH2's scale had DC visuals that would be the most impressive game I've ever seen.

OFC?

Did it hurt you to admit a PS4 game looks better then a XBO game?
Most PS4 exclusives look better duh

FH2 plays much better and that's what is the most important right?
Both are below standard for my tastes as I admit not being a racer fan if I did get a racer it wouldn't be them it be F5.

the scale spin hmmm
heard this one before oh that's right you used it last gen when PS3 games raped 360 games visually.

If FH2 had better hardware it would look better.

Great. You still don't think scale matters when it comes to visuals. Can't say I'm surprised you can't grasp that. Well, go play something along the visual fidelity of the PT demo on ps4 in an open world game then get back to me. :) I still don't think you can comprehend why it matters. Oh well.

If its scale then Destiny should win best console visuals as no console games runs @ 1080p and has as much going on/scale as Destiny and stays solid in fps(on PS4)

kinda silly eh

hahaha, you pointed out the ps4 version like it some super fps advantage

Judging by your post, you definitely don't understand scale then lol, that's not what scale is. Not to mention I'm not saying FH2 "wins" (what are you 10?)

DC still "wins" despite less scale

Best graphics is a really difficult topic. What was more aesthetically pleasing to my eyes? Mario Kart in HD looked pretty good, Halo MCC (when it worked) was no slouch either. MLB: The Show 14 upped the ante on how sports games should look as well. PC wise, the scale of Civ Beyond Earth and Endless Legend astounded me and Ryse is still a looker when it comes to individual characters.

haha, you don't understand what good food is. Absurd comment.
Being satisfied with less than 1080p/60fps and Xbox games being the best looking console games in your eyes show how outa touch you are and how much you don't belong in these types of threads.

Best graphics go to Ryse by far. It already won an award. Crytek is the best in the world at what they do.

Its not even argument worthy... PS has had the more powerful console putting out the best looking games two gens in a row.

Well, so far this gen, I have yet to see a PS4 title look better than Ryse. Granted I don't have the X1 version but I can't fathom it being significantly downgraded from the PC version.

Exactly you don't have it so shouldn't make a opinion.
It looks soft/blurry and moves clunky ie 30 and below fps.

So the awards for best visuals with Ryse were from xbots? Your logic, as always, fails. I see "awards" only count when its in a PS game's favor. Par for the course Val.

Valliance, no offense but I'm considering creating a group D. Just chill out with all the poppy talk.

One thing to note is that the award was given for games nominated up till end of 2013. So there weren't much competition at the time anyways.

Having said that, Ryse PC probably takes the cake.

I just picked up DriveClub at the local Gamestop. I'm so glad I only paid $20.00 for it as this game is completely underwhelming graphically. I'm going to put up a full graphics analysis on my webpage. At this point, TLOU:Remastered and Infamous on PS4 is more impressive to me. I'll post a link to my tech analysis once I write it.

Absolutely.

I played it for a bit at work on a 4k screen, and it's no where near what people try to make it out to be. It has some weird artifacting in some areas, the aliasing isn't great, and when things are NOT wet, they look very run of the mill for this Gen. It seems very hit or miss. There are the few things which look really nice, but overall I was REALLY not impressed.

Looking forward to your analysis. Would love to get a link to your web site for it.

Wouldn't playing a 1080p game on a 4K screen inherently make the image look bad?

No, not at all.

The pixel ratio of a 4k display is exactly the same as a 1080p display, so a native 1080p frame buffer upscaled to 4k works very well with no distortion.

Our 4k display at work is also 80", so we can really do proper analysis on it.

Drive Club really is not as impressive as people think.

One award? Did it win the majority of best visuals?
That one award picked Ryse XBO over PC games as well LOLZ

You don't actually play much but Xbox so yeah your opinion is nill.

Ryse isn't all that on my 4K set.

So donkey kong @ 1080/60 would be superior to Ryse in your world? There are other contributing factors you refuse to acknowledge.
