Trump at this point was at 1% and had an army of Republicans.True but Trump was already ahead at this point. There are just too many people running and nobody knows who he is.

I believe she would be willing to flip flop especially if there was something to gain but there wasn't here and the question was worded in a way that its easy to confuse. Which of you would abolish their health care? The "their" was the public but its very easy to take it differently
I just don't see a benefit in a calculated flip flop there. It just looks like a manufactured issue people are coming up with to not like her.
He isn't going to win

Like I said if she hadn't done it before I'd be more forgiving, plus the question was asked the night before. You don't abolish your own healthcare plan, yes it was worded poorly but it's hard to misunderstand the spirit of the question. I think the benefit is that she's seen more as an establishment Dem and wants to appeal to the progressive side of the party.
Polls in the beginning of July 2015 had him in either first or second. By the end of July he was firmly in the lead.
He was at 1% before he announced.
That's why it makes sense to flip in the general not a few hours later. She gained nothing by raising her hand unless she sticks with it. People don't vote for 6 months. As a calculated move it makes absolutely no sense.
It makes no sense for her to misunderstand two questions on the same basic topic either, she's not stupid.
His website is a lot of talking points of “We need to...” I was disappointed when I read through it.Yang has other positions and weighs in on other issues. He keeps drumming on that as his flagship issue, but goes beyond that if given time.

Yang’s is especially generic.Other than Warren I don't think anyone is really all that prepared in more than one area, they just have the right people in place to say things they think will sound good but have no real intention of putting into place.
Welcome... back... to the forums. These forums lean heavily to rational when it comes to politics and idiocy is called out, regardless of what side it's on. Take a gander of the politics thread and you'll get an idea of how things lean.
These forums are "left leaning," but we are very against the very insignificant, far left leaning, SJW types as evident by the SJW thread. Nobody wants completely open borders for example. Most of us want a comprehensive overhaul of our immigration system here in the United States.Thanks. I'll make sure I check out the politics side.
I have been of other Forums but so many have become very hard left leaning that having centrist liberal views (like myself) is to mean you are a far right neo nazi!? I just don't know how to respond to comments like that if I'm honest lol
That's why I put left leaning in quotes.I don't even know if left / right even applies anymore. The problem is that you assume that right=conservative, but I don't see Trumpers as conservative.
I would be fine with people who disagree with me politically, the problem is that what Trump sells isn't really politics. To me, Trump is a liar and a con man. Lies aren't a side, or at least not a very good one. That's what makes actual discussion difficult. If people want to talk facts and ideas, great. You rarely actually get any of that though.
I consider myself to be conservative, but I want nothing to do with Trump. I'm actually conservative, smaller government with libertarian values. I believe in the Constitution (all of it, not just the bits about guns). To me, there's nothing "conservative" about forcing your religious beliefs on people via the law. There's nothing conservative about tax cuts for the extremely wealthy.
I guess I always considered myself slightly right of center, but in this Trump world that usually means I end up left of center. I don't really care about where I get labeled, but that's all people seem to see anymore.

If you can intelligently support your arguments, you will be engaged in discussion. If you scream "trump is great! eat it libs," your time here will be difficult.
My stance... I believe the current republican party, as it exists now, needs to be completely destroyed and built back up. Now, John Kasich is not perfect, but, using him as an example, is where the republican party needs to be. That will give a nearly sane, rational, contrast to the democratic party.
Him and Commissar Corbyn are both morally bankrupt and some of the policies they want to enact are f***ing disgusting, god I hope they never get in to power.
SJWs and the evangelical right are both extremists in my mind. They both are two sides of the same coin. They have very different beliefs, but go about things in a very similar way. They want to use politics and pressure to make the country into their narrow view of "correct".
