lol #RIP45 trending on Twitter. Supposedly about the Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs that passed away a couple days ago but of course with no context people are thinking it's about Trump.

I saw that hashtag and immediately thought people would confuse the two.

The mess at the border is awful but I honestly don't think it would have worked out very well regardless of who was in power. Too many people showed up and overwhelmed the system so there was always going to be some type of backlog. Trump's administration is clearly incompetent when it comes to handling this but if I'm honest with myself I don't think anyone would have been able to avoid the backlog, They may have moved faster to try to address it but we can't just put tens of thousands of judges down there to speed it up, at some point it just becomes a waiting game. Separating the children from their parents is the most unforgivable part of this and any law that forces it to happen should have been changed or suspended as quickly as possible but there would still be thousands of people in camps.

Is President Donald Trump losing his fight to save coal? Third major company since May files for bankruptcy

Nearly 2,000 miners across four states may lose their jobs after yet another major coal company filed for bankruptcy this week — the third since May and fourth since last October.

The bankruptcy filing from Revelation Energy LLC and its affiliate Blackjewel LLC, the nation's sixth-top coal producing company in 2017, comes amid President Donald Trump's ongoing efforts to boost the flagging industry.
The Trump administration rolled out a rule last month aiming to extend the lives of aging coal-fired power plants across the nation. Environmentalists say the Affordable Clean Energy rule would trigger premature deaths, including from lung disease.
During his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump promised to revitalize coal and save miners' jobs, despite scientists linking the burning of the fossil fuels to global warming, but the industry has continued to suffer losses.
Coal comeback? Trump plan breathes new life into aging power plants, but critics say climate will suffer
At mines and facilities in Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia and Wyoming, Revelation Energy and Blackjewel employ 1,800 workers, according to court documents and The Casper (Wyo.) Star-Tribune. Company officials estimate they owe $156 million for goods and services, West Virginia Public Radio reported.
Last month, Cambrian Coal LLC also filed for bankruptcy. The company operating in Kentucky and Virginia blamed its bankruptcy on changes in demand and regulations related to the Clean Air Act.

Another coal-producing leader filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May. Once the nation's third-largest coal company, Wyoming-based Cloud Peak Energy employed 1,300 people at the time of its filing. It accounted for 7.4% of total U.S. coal production in 2017, according to the Department of Labor.
And, the nation's ninth-leading coal company went to bankruptcy court late in 2018. Colorado-based Westmoreland Coal Co. had more than $1.4 billion in debt at the time, The Associated Press reported.
Gone by 2030?: On World Environment Day, everything you know about energy in the US might be wrong
Although Trump has touted coal's rebirth, 51 coal plants have closed and eight coal companies have filed for bankruptcy since his election, CBS News reported last month.
Coal’s share of the U.S. electricity mix fell from 48% in 2008 to 27% in 2018 and is projected to be 22% in 2020, according to the Department of Energy.
“We’re retiring a coal plant every month. Coal will all be gone by 2030,” said Bruce Nilles, a managing director at the Rocky Mountain Institute, a think tank in Colorado that focuses on energy and resource efficiency.
Coal policy, including Trump's Affordable Clean Energy rule, could influence the 2020 election in swing states where coal is still mined, such as Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Kamala Harris is a snake, she went after Biden for not being for federally mandated busing and she holds that same position now, she has also lied twice now once during a CNN town hall and another time during the debate about how she'd handle Medicare for all. I thoughts he had a strong moment the other night like most of us did but then finding out her campaign had shirts printed ahead of time to take advantage of that moment just made it seem fake.

She should have just hit him about talking about the good old days of working with segregationists. Same debate moment without having to flip flop.

I actually do think she misunderstood the health care question because I thought the question was about their own health care too

If she had only made that one mistake I could buy it but she did something similar on a CNN town hall where she walked back her answer the next day, plus that question was asked the night before and talked about afterwards by pundits so I can't believe she or her team weren't prepared for it. It was an odd question but he said abolish your health care, you don't call Verizon and abolish your phone service you cancel it so I think she's kind of using that as an excuse to be honest, she's not stupid just sneaky.

Yeah but if the question is about everyone's you would say abolish everyone's. Plus there is no benefit to flip flopping there because that is such a losing issue and she corrected it too quickly. She gained nothing there. Most people wouldn't even be able to tell you who even raised their hand.

Its not like the Biden situation which still ends up as a win for her.

Yeah that's the thing, the question was "abolish" and she raised her hand, then she said she thought he was talking about only her insurance. She's really just another standard politician, I would take her over Trump any day but I have no faith in her at all to keep any promises she makes.

I believe she would be willing to flip flop especially if there was something to gain but there wasn't here and the question was worded in a way that its easy to confuse. Which of you would abolish their health care? The "their" was the public but its very easy to take it differently

I just don't see a benefit in a calculated flip flop there. It just looks like a manufactured issue people are coming up with to not like her.

If Yang doesn't come though, we will be set back 10 year vs the world.

He isn't going to win

Truly is Captain America.

Evans has been a frequent Trump critic, often using his Twitter feed to take the president to task on issues ranging from climate change to Russia... and has done it even after being warned by his advisers to lay off the politics.

“Look, I’m in a business where you’ve got to sell tickets,” he told Esquire in 2017. “But, my God, I would not be able to look at myself in the mirror if I felt strongly about something and didn’t speak up.”

And if that means some people won’t see his movies as a result?

“I’m OK with that,” he said.
