They made it a tower and unassuming because the form just fades away into the rest of your electronics so as not to stand out as a video game console. Its very mature. That's some sexy ass tech. I fuking love it! Cant wait to get mine.

So Digital Foundry is saying that it may not be 12TF. Did Phil specifically say that?

No he said twice the power of the One X GPU which the journalists who don't really know much took to mean exactly 12TF, it sounds like we should look at it as "equivalent to current gen 12TF" because the GPU can do a lot more with less like saying "next gen 9.75TF is equivalent to last gen 12TF" (just using that as an example it's not the actual conversion). Being that the new GPU"s are so much more efficient etc it's probably not right for us to go strictly by the TF number. The DF guys have been saying this for a while too, it's probably better to let the games do the talking or talk about different effects that will improve etc

True, but scholars tend to prefer to remember and cemente the atrocities of the past....that “five hundred ninety-nine US dollars” is equal to that of “Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity, it's called Xbox 360.”
It's ignorant

Yeah, dunno about that. Phil and Co came out confident AF with Series X. I think he knows he has the most powerful box. No way this guy puts the power crown at risk after the disaster of last gen. We'll see though..
Xbox marketing is not saying the most powerful console and they would if it was.

Still, they took the first shot. A big one. And Phil is basically stating the Tflops in interviews at around 12.

Who knows. You could be right. But Xbox taking the first major step in revealing the box and some of the specs speaks volumes. They are definitely confident. That's for sure.

We don't know what Sony has and I see more "rumors" saying PS5 is more powerful PLUS MS marketing=PS5 having the power advantage if I was a betting man.

Maybe it’s because the specs of the PS5 have not been officially been revealed yet. If internet chatter is to believed though it’s coming in at less than 10.5 TF along with heating issues. That’s probably why it’s still in hiding as Sony figures that out.

I've been hearing the same chatter. 12 Tflops is a big number. I know - speaking for myself - I was surprised it was so high. And it's just part of the story, not the whole...

Nah MS knows! With all that money they have ninja spies.
Internet chatter has the XSEX at around 10TF's as well.

I'm still in the camp that the "who's more powerful" crown will be meaningless and that you won't see a difference on screen.

Also as DF pointed out 12TF is highly unlikely, Phil would have said 12TF if it were. They are using a more advanced GPU so you get more with less, around 10TF on the new gen probably is equivalent to 12TF of what's in the One X now but that's a lot to explain when trying to keep everything as simple as possible so it's just easier to say twice as powerful.

Not riding you Jinca but, legit, you should steer far from making any predictions my guy. Your track record leaves much to be desired. MY track record is better than your and you know more about this s*** than I do. I'm just sayin right now...

Plus it looks like it’s going to be RDNA 2.0, which means they’ll get more out of each TF than the current architecture. Even if it’s less than 12 (which I doubt), it will outperform what’s out there now.

Same for PS5, possibly except for the 2.0 part.

6.4 million views on the official release trailer already! Damn.

You are so full of s*** it's insane, you misrepresent what I say all the time and it's getting ridiculous.

6.4 isn't bad but isn't great.
I say the PS5 does 3 times that in less time.

We don't know what PS5 actually has for all of its specs but we do know what MS isn't saying.
