I believe this was George's last cut for the abandoned 3D rereleases. I'm not sure why they are kissing up to him in this way. The whole situation could have easily been avoided without changing anything except adding a quick close-up cut to Greedo squeezing the trigger, but Han gets the surprise shot off first. Everybody wins! (except Greedo) It was such an easy fix, and I've been saying it since the first Special Editions on the theaters. No point-blank miss, no neck dodging necessary. Just show that Greedo was definitively about to fire, but Han shot him first. No, that's too simple for George!
I actually agree with that. I was just saying that of all of the ways Lucas (who once claimed that fans just wanted Han to be a cold blooded killer) could just make his point tactfully, without being so in your face about it, this is the one. Of all of the changes to the OT, this is the most insulting. (Closely followed by a tie of the musical number in Jabba's Palace and Vader's Noooo!)We don't need to see anything because we know he is going to shoot. Much like Vader now yelling "NOOOOO" at the end of ROTJ its unnecessary as the scene already told the viewer everything they needed to know.
Surprised?56% RT right now
lol but what if you don't?I am going to love it, I know that much!
Then I will be sad. If it's as good as episode 7, I will be happy!lol but what if you don't?
Well, it's the internet. Besides the original 4, 5, and 6.....everyone has complained about the most recent 6 movies. And even with 4, 5 and 6, people complained about 6 a lot. So really:I rewatched TFA and TLJ last night. Films are fine I enjoyed them.
I still can see why some people have problems with them.
