We know she will take lots of heat for that. Democrats have to play by different rules.

The only comfort is that everyone now is on the same page, supporters and candidates, saying no matter who is nominated they need to be supported full bore.
Tearing it up after a failed impeachment bid just makes her look like a sore loser, yeah I know she resisted doing it as long as she could and technically he's impeached but he's not going to be convicted so it just emboldens him like many thought it would. People keep saying she was playing 4D chess, she wasn't she was playing a silly game that didn't need to be played, a game that took attention away from our candidates who are trying to replace Trump in November. The fact that the wasted all this time and money when she knew what he final result would be and that we were heading into an election year was a bad strategic move. Sure he deserved it but why then? he's been doing things from year one that deserved impeachment, why wait until he has less than a year before the next election?
I don't care about not shaking her hand, it was a bitch move and we all know it but it's not going to hurt him in the least because his voters will eat it up. I do want us to get tougher when we campaign against him but this kind of stuff is weak, it accomplishes nothing and it just adds fuel to the fires that are already burning out of control.

I feel like a lot of this has been about a means investigate Trump digging for scandals on him or force the full disclosure of his Tax Returns.
Or get him to be 'triggered' like he is on Twitter or in meetings but in front of the public. Unfortunately, not even the Republicans in 2016 could beat Trump by character attacks. Insanely, he comes a mix of casino promotion and Wrestlemania and no one has figured out how to handle this. They should plead with Jesse Ventura or something to explain this level of confrontation.
Anyway, it does seem like the party put all its energy into pushing out Trump on legalities instead of winning back the public on ideas.

I don't know what her intentions were but she took the spotlight off Trump's SOTU and put it on her. Which is a good thing. Would you rather the media talk about the Democrats pooping their pants in Iowa some more?

Impeachment had to be done. You look weak by losing, but you'd look ever weaker letting the president get away with it without at least trying. Trump got away with the Mueller investigation and then went right out and committed an even more blatant and obvious crime.

Pelosi is being exactly what we need - a lightning rod to annoy Trump while letting the candidates focus on something other than Trump. Pelosi is in a deep blue district and is the perfect person for this.
What impeachment did is shine a light onto the GOP senate who had to come out of the shadows and publicly defend Trump. Bolton coming out wanting to testify and them refusing had to hurt them. There's no 4D chess, we just need her to do whatever to chip away at them until the election.

I don't agree. Given the amount of dick sucking the "republican" party is doing for a child rapist, and the fact that his supporters are domestic terrorists who have killed people, it took a LOT to make that stance. People are already calling for his death.

If he has no interest in running for reelection then he very well might have done it because its the right thing. Maybe he is hoping history will view him better. Maybe he just wants to be the #1 moderate in the Senate. Regardless I'm sure he will go back to defending Trump the next time he doesn't something s***ty which will probably be very soon.

Oh, I'm not fooled. He's still a piece of trash. But let's not underestimate what his vote will cause for him. Sure, I'm sure there's an ulterior motive to it beyond "God," still, it took some balls to actually do it. As yankeessuck said, he'll go back to party line voting and talking points as usual.
