The Stadia will be shat on from the greatest of heights (as opposed to the moderate heights right now) come Holiday 2020....
Lucky for them they have deep pockets. Any timed exclusive of a big game will cost them alot.Google promises more than 10 Stadia timed-exclusives by July 2020
Google has promised more than 10 Stadia timed-exclusives will be released by July 2020 - but it failed to name the game…www.eurogamer.net
Well, if the games AND the service was free... I'd prob might play it... maybeStadia could have 10,000 AAAAAAAAAAA exclusives, for free, and I still won't use the service.
Will the servive last long enough for a quality 4 year AAA dev time.

You're probably right about Nintendo. It's tough. If Nintendo went the sub and stream path, their IP is strong enough that people would probably still buy in. Google's challenge is that they're way too niche to have a chance at getting any seriously compelling licensed IP exclusivity, so they have to create something new that is desired enough to compel people to switch to their platform to play it. It has to be exponentially more than a system seller for that to work.
But what does that have to do with xcloud?Apple issues new rules for App Store that will impact streaming game services from Google and Microsoft
The rules underscore the tension between Apple's control of its platform, which it says is for safety and security reasons, and emerging gaming services considered by many to be the future of the gaming industry.www.cnbc.com
Apple says that game streaming services, such as Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud, are explicitly permitted. But there are conditions: Games offered in the service need to be downloaded directly from the App Store, not from an all-in-one app. App makers are permitted to release a so-called “catalog app” that links to other games in the service, but each game will need to be an individual app.
But what does that have to do with xcloud?
So even though the games are streaming and not installed, they want an icon for each game which would allow them to say block Call of Duty from being streamed?Basically they're saying instead of not allowing Xcloud at all, they can have an X cloud app as long as every game available is it's own app that Apple can decide whether or not to allow.
