TCL 6 2018/19 and later released 2020 model(could have HDMI 2.1 features)So what's the diff between a TV with built-in 2.1 and a TV with patched features?
I'm swinging towards a TCL 6 and will finally ditch my 1080p Samsung that I've had for almost ten years. Unless there's something drastic that the next gen consoles will take advantage of, in regards to TVs with 2.1 fully built in, then I'm probably comfortable plopping down a easy 700 for a TCL 6.

That one is great for picture quality but lacking in gaming....
Well if you aren't getting a HDMI 2.1 capable TV for next gen... Id go with the 2019 TCL's 6 Series instead which has amazing input lag and SOME HDMI 2.1 features coming via a FW update.Eh I'll be fine. However the delivery date was a bogus one. BB immediately sent me a email to schedule a appointment. Next Thursday was the earliest delivery date. So that gives me plenty of time to think about what you said and drive myself insane. Kudos

Alright. I'll go with that then.
RDR2, RE2 Remake, and MK11 will be the first games I try out on the TV. Mad Max Fury Road will be the first movie I watch on it.
Pretty exhilarating considering I've never seen 4K and HDR.

i will give you my settings I use as I am using my Ladies TCL 6 series cause it's in the bedroom(and I don't game in the living room on the 75Z9D anymore) while I wait on my TV to get here.
Sweet enjoy
A Chinese review of a prototype model is available and it's good enough for me the bad is the delays the good is more sites have the option to preorder now like amazon for example.Did they give you an update on when yours is coming in..? I’m looking forward to impressions.
