I get the vague sense that someone different is signing Ryan’s paycheck these days.

I also remember when we heard industry insiders had a different spec sheet for the PS5. These were people in the same position as Ryan.

The context is who you hear it from. Not just that you are hearing it.

i remover insiders saying that the x was gonna have a weaker gpu similar to the ps5, can’t recall if they said if it was gonna be variable as well.

CD Project Red seems to not be struggling to make Cyberpunk look amazing despite coming out on current gen hardware.
343i just f***ed up.

Ryan from IGN continues to be the enemy within for Xbox.

He has made a career of back handed compliments and out and out attacks of the Xbox community and yet Xbox still tolerate the idiot.

Media will always attack MS no matter how things turns out.

Someone got to pay their bills and talking bad about MS is money 💰 in the bag 🎒.

Well.. if Ryan was right about the difference in the strategy of these companies, PS5 would already clearly have been the true next gen experience winner for developers. This is false if the PS5 showcase is anything to go by.

And a developer outright skipping a PS5 version of his game recently doesn't help his "holding back" case either.

Matt Booty (lol...booty) initially said first party games would be cross-gen between Xbox One S and Xbox Series X through 2021 Link, while Phil vaguely said "the next couple of years" later on. Then Greenberg (God help us) said that games could still come to Xbox One consoles, but moving forward the Series X is the lead for everything and it is up to the dev. So this shouldn't hold back:

- Any third party devs who want to skip the Xbox One
- MS first party games released after 2021 or 2022 (who knows, could be somewhere in between), but odds are this will only apply to a couple of major games

Of course Halo Infinite looks rough, but that clearly had its own set of issues aside from being cross-gen.

Personally I think they should just ditch Xbox One, focus on Xbox Series X, and if you want to play Xbox Series X games on your Xbox One then you can still try your luck via XCloud if you have a solid internet connection.

The game needs to be clean, its not about the size or gameplay. Just needs to stop the pop up add a lot more texture, RT, and something else.

I was much more frustrated that they were going to launch it with the console, I don't know if the backlash made the decision for the delay or 343 knew down deep it wasn't enough.

I am just glad it was made.

Its still a current gen game so I don't see your point. I don't think anyone would argue that current gen games can't look really good.

My point is that CDpR is a talented studio and 343i isn't at this point. Using Halo Infinite and that studio as the basis of a whole argument is going overboard.

Cyberpunk is a current gen game that is also going to be a showcase for next gen tech.
