I hate to defend this, but technically, they shouldn't need to. If they do good for them but they really do not need to. People should see kindness as an entitlement.

Completely agree, but when your competition is doing it regularly for free, it does become another ‘vs’ talking point.

PC gaming has been doing this for decades, it isn't really a big deal to have different graphics options. Jackfrags has a video of BF5 on his brand new 3090 and it looks amazing. That game also runs fine on older hardware.
That's a large difference. The PS fanboys were using the "cross-gen" as a way to gloat or put-down, where everyone else simply defended the concept of support through cross-gen and how it's good for consumers as well as the fact that You can still leverage the power of newer systems. It's hardly the same thing.

Trying to ignore the whole"XSX has a problem because it will be held back" rhetoric is dishonest. Watch all the back-peddling begin. At least we don't have to hear about it anymore

exclusive to the PS5 and PC.

Welp. I've gotta say that I went from being very enthusiastic and going to buy both consoles at launch to buying neither of them. The games that are coming out in the near future for both systems are all available on platforms I already own.
You say that every time you upgrade your PC? ;)

We will continue to bitch until/if that image is improved as that image is burned in the gaming worlds mind.

Apart from him being wrong. PC is no different to console. After a period a time the target hardware changes to facilitate the newer tech and advancements. Those lower end specs usually end up being similar to the weakest Xbox or Playstation.

Go try and play Witcher 3 on a PC built for Witcher 2.

This post will not age well. Going to PC might not happen on the same day as console release (yet), but they will go to PC eventually. Count on it.

I’ll bookmark this for future reference.
Anyone can pull that assumption out there ass.

Who cares if it comes 2+ years later?

Although the old one was worse (IMO) it was from 2014. He probably figured people already had screen grabs from it? If I were him, I'd be embarrassed by both, and claim alcohol was involved... they're both just very unprofessional, and come off as toxic. I think that there's more tasteful opinions on this very forum, at least from the mods here and some others. If Being tasteful is that hard, you shouldn't be a public figure... but I guess I'm old school like that.
Journalism is general is just garbage nowadays. No professionalism or objectivity. It all becomes grandstanding.

Now, you are officially reaching. Eventually negates any point you are trying to make in relation to a platform losing its enter identity due to a PC, as well as every other platform, running it's content day and date. By any PlayStation, first party exclusive going to PC "eventually" after it has completely run its course on the console with the PC getting it, maybe, five or six years later or something, is far from the same and DOES NOT place it in position where its identity can be jeopardized. Sony’s strategy does not place the same importance on the PC as Microsoft does with the PC.

How can you accidentally put something in a presentation you made, & presume check before release. An accident is when you taking a phot & someone walks past. An accident is when someone knocked you & you drop your coffee. You cannot accidentally buy a coffee.

Must be some POS Sony rep demand they took down to make it look like it is only on PS5.

It could have been something easily overlooked either way though that particular game is being made by Sony, they are funding it and a 1st party studio is one of the teams working on it so it's not going to be a multiplatform game other than probably PC at some point. Sony rep didn't demand anything, they came out and said it was "human error" on their own.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to PC at some point, I don't think they'll ever do it day and date with console though.

5 or 6 years later? HZD was released in 2017, and is still one of this gen’s biggest exclusives.

Gimmie a minute to do that math...wait...2020 minus 2017....got it! No wait, one more minute...

Not only will more Sony games be going to PC, but it will be happening faster.

Again, feel free to mark this post.

Edit: And why would anyone care? I think it’s great. My friend in the gaming industru is always stressed and works crazy hours. The last time I saw him in Seattle in January, he looked like he aged 20 years!

It’s more money for devs without having to invest the time and resources in a totally new game. It’s good for the industry, and that’s good for gamers.

We will continue to b**** until/if that image is improved as that image is burned in the gaming worlds mind.

Ah yes a a cherry picked snap of an in-game model from one frame close up. It happens so fast you wouldn't see it anyway. Here is 3 frames before. Oh look, there are the shadows. It's almost like it was just the angle.

Here is a crop of another one. Not so bad at all, imo. There are also other shots where they are showing emotion.

The over-reaction to the game is absolutely ridiculous. You can say you thought it would look more next-gen, but for standard foot-soldier that's not bad at all. Issues with art direction is different.

We also don't know what the engine is able to handle at the same time. The real tell for the whether this game is Next gen enough is to see how it compares with the Xbox One consoles. Even outside of frame-rate, I bet we see a marked difference.

And you can bring up Zero Dawn all you want, Halo was supposed to be a launch title with patches later too.

Personally, I'd rather have the game and get whatever RT patch later they are talking about. I always play Campaigns multiple times, and I'll probably have more fun playing it that just about any other game.
